King Grill – Grill in Las Cruces – Website
Reviews
It was good, arrived warm, and was delicious. Price was quite reasonable too.
Las Cruces has a lot of amazing food, but a limited amount of vegetarian offerings. King Grill came through with some delicious middle eastern vegetarian food and a pleasant place to consume it. There even a nice middle eastern market next door for folks who want to cook stuff at home.
We are really disappointed because the options for this type of cuisine are very limited in Las Cruces, and we were excited to see they were in town when we moved here. Unfortunately, I will never return to this establishment after this as I did nothing to deserve the cold, rude, bizarre treatment and I do not wish to experience it again. It is really a shame.
As for the food, the pita is the generic store bought kind and the hummus was bland. There was sumac on top, but it was flavorless, and no taste of tahini, lemon, garlic salt etc. Just very bland.
There’s a small grocery store next door (attached) that you can walk over to if you need to burn some time.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at King Market/Grill that left me utterly impressed and wholly satisfied. Tucked away in the heart of the city, (Solano & Nevada) and this hidden gem not only offers an exceptional culinary experience but also boasts outstanding service that goes above and beyond.
From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality.
The menu, a delightful exploration of Middle Eastern cuisine, offers an array of dishes that cater to both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Each dish is a symphony of flavors, expertly crafted with fresh and high-quality ingredients. From the aromatic spices to the succulent meats, every bite tells a story of tradition and culinary expertise.
While the dining area may lack the opulence of some high-end establishments, it possesses a charm that is both inviting and authentic. The simplicity of the decor allows the food to take center stage, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a family gathering. The casual setting fosters a sense of camaraderie among diners, making it an enjoyable place to share a meal with friends or family.
What sets King Grill apart is its unique connection to a neighboring grocery store, King Market, specializing in international foods. This dual concept adds an extra layer to the dining experience, allowing patrons to explore and purchase authentic ingredients to recreate the flavors of the restaurant in the comfort of their own homes. The grocery store is a treasure trove of culinary delights, offering a wide selection of spices, sauces, and other specialties that reflect the restaurant’s commitment to authenticity.
One cannot help but appreciate the integrity with which this establishment operates. The prices are surprisingly reasonable, considering the quality and quantity of the dishes. It’s evident that the restaurant values not only the satisfaction of its customers but also the integrity of the culinary traditions it represents.
King Grill is a true standout in the culinary scene. With its exceptional food, impeccable service, and a unique connection to a diverse grocery store, it offers a complete and enriching dining experience. If you’re looking for a place where delicious flavors, affordability, and cultural authenticity converge, this is the place to be. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of Middle Eastern cuisine with a global touch.
Falafel is definitely homemade but not very flavorful. Normally pretty standard have the falafel or shawarma wraps come with a side of hummus or tahini – so would recommend that change.
Gyro portion size seems on the smaller side.
One of the shawarma combo wraps has too much cheese and ends up basically being a quesadilla or mexican-gyro-panini. So it seemed inauthentic and out of place with the rest of the menu.
Ive eaten endless amounts of middle eastern food so im Trying to be fair here. would like to give it another chance sometime.
