Horrible food. But close to my Barracks. Eggs are never cooked completely and the broccoli looks old

Terrible dinning facility. The soldiers look and act miserable and seem surprised when you show them a small courtesy. The food is hit or miss, with it rarely ever being a hit, and half of the drink machines are either down or taste awful.

Completely inconsistent service and food quality. The staff NCOs seem to not understand customer service. The layout has got to be the most inefficiently designed DFAC in the army which lead to a lot of congestion when getting drinks and bussing tables. The food is very mediocre. And yet…. They’re still a strong competitor for best DFAC on Fort Hood.

Not a bad DEFAC. To improve they could always have both sides open to reduce the line. The Cook on the omelets also needs to be quicker and more efficient. Some decorations would make it more appealing.

The food was okay, but the customer service was atrocious. I don’t pay money to have some SSG on a power trip pull rank (I am a SGT) and talk to me like an idiot. It’s a good thing he is not medical; guys like him get taken off the line and put somewhere (hopefully) they can do the least damage to the organization’s reputation.

No one paying money (cash or meal card) should have to tolerate such behavior from facility staff. Clearly, this SSG is overwhelmed by the responsibility of good customer service.

Made some coffee with the coffee machine. Used the mocha option. 6 sips later and I finally noticed the ring of ants floating in my cup. I gave two stars for the extra protien source, subtracted 3 for cleanliness in a dining facility.

This dfac is very spontaneous. One day it seems like the best dfac on post. Then the next day it’s like the worst dfac on post. Whatever you do, don’t eat here on the weekend. It’s almost like they’re just serving scraps leftover from friday. Don’t plan on having a beverage with your meal either, because the beverage machines are usually empty. The seating area is usually packed to the brim because they like to close the other dining room. Also expect a super long line at the cash register.

I’ve gotten food poisoning here twice. The food is either overcooked to the point of being shoe leather, raw in the middle, soggy, or cold. The drink machines are constantly running empty- and the staff act like you’re inconveniencing them by asking them to refill it. The hours randomly change, suddenly leaving you without food. If I could collect BAS and cook for myself, I would do that instead. But for now, I’m stuck either walking to another DFAC miles away, or playing Russian Roulette with my meal. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.
