Had a great experience at Blofish! I don’t eat seafood, so I was expecting to end up with a cucumber roll as I do at most places. However, their veg options were very extensive and had a lot of creative flavors and unique combinations that were just delicious. Some of the best gyoza I’ve ever had as well, and the drinks were very good and creative. Definitely my new go-to sushi place. A little more on the expensive side, but totally worth it!

Fish Quality is unreal. Atmosphere reminds me of being back in Japan, size and layout of restaurant is incredible. Will be back as soon as I’m back in Boulder

It’s a really small place but it makes the atmosphere super inviting and cozy. The whole time they were playing some really great, chill music. The people there are all super nice and provide great service. This all without mentioning the incredible quality of all the food. From appetizers to drinks to their rolls everything was superb. It was a little bit pricy but I think everything was well worth it. Amazing spot and I’d highly recommend it for a date spot.

The shop is small and very cozy. The service from both front and back of house was casual, welcoming and knowledgeable. The sushi is fresh and delicious. The Nigiri was melt in your mouth good; I’d highlight the seared scallop, the yellowtail with apple/avocado and smoked sea salt and the salmon with lemon. The rolls are cut too thin. Overall an excellent experience, but it is pricy.

Best sushi in Boulder by far, especially considering the fish is flown from Japan! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of all specialty fish. In terms of price, similar to Japango but all the more worth it for higher quality. Will be returning!

I’ve ordered from this place twice. The fish is always extra smelly and it’s not the normal “fish taste”. I’ve felt sick twice. Prices are crazy for the low quality fish. Also, I encourage you to all go through the owners responses on the lowest reviews setting. It’ll leave you giggling and in shock. Points for funny, but I’d rather go to hapa and I don’t like hapa

Had heard so many great reviews of this place from friends, so it pains me to write this (well, maybe not). Small, loud place, was staffed only by 3 college students, including the young American kid preparing the sushi. Prices are astronomical, on the order of NYC omakase — cost was $110 per person, and we all left marginally hungry. Roll pieces were tiny, thin, not tight. Fish was overall decent, but basically every other spot in Boulder has better fish {try Tasuki for great quality, value; or Japango for very expensive, but high-quality food}. The young waitress was utterly amazing, handling the whole restaurant reliably by herself, great attitude and attention all night. Given that the small place had a fishy smell when we entered, and the whole meal was chaotically unpleasant, I should rate Atmosphere a 1. But it’s a cute enough place on 14th/Pearl, so I can be generous. Unclear how this place will stay in business, unless they get a real sushi chef and clean things up a bit to warrant the high prices

Amazing local business and amazing sushi! The owner, Curtis, is extremely knowledgeable! Ask for recommendations and just trust the process. Amazing knowledge of all products they sell including sake! The other employees, Ryan and Avery, are also extremely friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable!

We had an amazing meal and cocktails. The quality of the sushi compares to some of the best we have eaten in San Francisco and Seattle. Fresh, interesting, and inspiring. Each bite rewarding. We wanted to order more as each new roll brought something new. The chef and service were excellent. And the creative cocktails! A must. We will be back!

One of the best Sushi places in Boulder. It’s definitely a little cozy (cramped) there, but the food and excellent service is worth it.
Bonus points for having a high-end bidet in the bathroom. I don’t think I’m brave enough to use a public bidet, but I appreciate the flex.
All of the staff was friendly, attentive, and seemed to be enjoying their vocation. That’s always a good sign for an establishment.
Blofish was recommended by multiple friends and family. I can see why after finally making it there and enjoying the lovely sushi.
