Everyone there was nice to us, service was decent despite it being busier than I’ve ever seen the place (there was some kind of auction event being held that day), and the environment was okay.
The food, however, was not good. The fried rice was too firm and tasted very strongly of cinnamon(!?), one piece of chicken had a claw visible, which was a bit unappetizing (At least they’re using real chicken?), and the spring roll was cold in the middle (tasted like the frozen spring rolls from the grocery store, and honestly the best part of the meal). The prices are at least twice what they should be. The two of us paid 70 bucks including tip. Go up the street to Hibachi Express and get significantly better take-out for half the price.
Maybe it’s just an acquired taste that I didn’t acquire. I’m glad I tried it, but I’ll also be glad to never return.

I should have turned around as soon as I walked through the door. The stained walls in the breezeway should have been enough. But, against my better judgement, my wife and I proceeded. So, the food came out. Wonton…was decent. However, my boneless spare rib combo, the ribs were literally cold. Not like warm, they were refrigerator cold and when I addressed it with the waitress, she said: “Everyone came in at the same time.” There were two other booths eating all couples. Anyway, rice was terrible and my wife said don’t try the egg roll because it was nasty. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Instead, swing by 7-11 and buy a taquito as it would be a MUCH better choice than Hoy Tin.

When they’re open they’re great. But it’s a 1/3 shot their business hours are accurate. Just left there at 1230 on a Friday. No sign. Not open. No social media reflecting anything. It’s always a drive and waste of time.

I found a severed finger in my fried rice, still has the wedding ring on it, it’ll be nice compensation for how bad the fried rice was though.

Anyone on here that is saying the food is good is lying
The meat is some god awful off white grey color
I didn’t taste it
There was a fly in my rice
I wouldn’t let my worst enemy die here
Oh and be careful in the parking lot its hell, I don’t know how that place is insured with the state it is in

Fried rice was saturated with soy sauce as was the sticky wings and the egg roll was soggy (definitely a frozen product). The scorpion bowl was good, but not worth $25.00. I will not go back.

Do not get thrown away by its external appearance and even inside. The place is small, has been there since 1970, but the food is great, drinks too, and the attendance unique and friendly. We enjoyed the food, relaxed with a few drinks, and even bought a power ball ticket. All in one place. Give them a try if you are near Swansea, Massachusetts. Thank you Hoy Tin.
