Great small town restaurant. Really great service to start. Nice daily specials to follow. Attention to detail with the food with good prices as a closer and what you have is a great small town restaurant. I had the blacken steak on night, a blue cheeseburger another and the Friday prime rib today. Each was done perfectly and I was always waited on quickly and with attention. Your biggest question driving thru grand coulee and electric city is which place.to stop for grub. This has to be the first choice.

We were quickly greeted by the waitress who was very nice. As we waited for her to comeback and take our order we could hear a female voice somewhere in the kitchen yelling at someone using the F-word at least a dozen times. It was a very uncomfortable experience to say the least. When the waitress came back to take our order I asked her where the noise was coming from and she chuckles and says oh it’s ok she’s the owner. I was shocked to say the least. We placed our orders and waited for our food and it was about a half hour till we got our food which was so so at best. I definitely won’t be back anytime soon. When we walked out of the restaurant to the parking lot the woman that was yelling earlier was sitting outside smoking marijuana. I couldn’t believe it.

The restaurant just had a “grand opening” but it was anything but grand. They no longer hand make their food and the produce is lowest of the low. The food was extremely over cooked and we had ordered chicken strips and 2 melody burgers. The chicken strips are frozen now and taste very bland. The bacon was burnt and the burger was not even edible. The fries were mush and yet also very dry and flavorless. The aoli sauce that goes on the burger was nothing like what it used to be and tasted awful! The waitress was also very unwelcoming and the eye rolls were uncalled for upon first encounter I would not recommend the service and definitely not the food! The restaurant is no longer a place to be considered best in town.

The food was excellent. Relatively inexpensive. It was crowded and service was a little slow, but we arrived around 6:00 p.m. on a Friday. The waitress was as attentive as she could be in spite of the crowd. A really good burger and fries along with two beers came to about $20.00.

Overwhelmingly good food, underwhelming environment. You can’t beat the view. Be aware, all tables are for groups 4 or less. If you have a larger group than 4 it is best to call ahead and make a reservation. Burgers and amazing, steaks are to die for. Salad is fresh. There is something for everyone.

I am updating my review as of 8/2018 The Melody is no longer being run by the same person it was over the last 3 years. The prices have increased, the portions have gone down and the taste of the food prepared is just not what it was under the previous owner/manager. I am a local and have enjoyed going here weekly for several years, now not so much. It’s just not the same …would not recommend it now!

Clean place, always a must! Had the street fish tacos, they were grilled white fish filets. Noce slice of avocado on top. Tasted good. I only got two and pretty sure I should have got three. Either way I like them. Got a side salad with thousand island and the dressing had a kick I didn’t expect but really liked. Good lunch spot if visiting the dam.

I can’t say enough good things! Everything was great! The steak, fish, salads and home made sauces were excellent! The owner clearly knows how to cook. Great view of the dam and super friendly service. I will eat here every time I come to grand coulee!

When you walk in the place it is very simple in decor, but the wait staff is friendly, fast as they can possibly be when busy and the kitchen staff is quick and good. Side salads were great and the shrimp scampi is yummy! If you stopped here 2 years or later and were disappointed, try it again. Great food, friendly people.

My girlfriend and I had a great time eating at Melody’s. (A Saturday at opening). We were in the mood for breakfast, but they’re a lunch and dinner place. That being said, they were happy to toss an egg into my SW Wrap, and her BLT. Both dishes were fantastic – not at all greasy. Our sides were waffle fries akd a garden salad. Both were tasty. The service was genuine, responsive, professional, quick, and kind.
Definitely recommended. 🙂
