I was in the area and decided to try out River Thai Cuisine. The restaurant was pretty quiet and had friendly staff. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai (pictured below) and the Tom Yum soup. Both items came out within 10 min of ordering and were delicious; I particular liked the level of spice of the pad Thai (4/5). Definitely worth another visit.

Solid food. Prices a little high. I ordered the pad thai shrimp, asked for XL portion. The portion I received is smaller than what I get for lunch at my favorite Thai place a few towns over. There was no heat level, as far as spice goes. I also ordered the summer roll. For almost $9, I got three rolls with one medium sized shrimp in each. $9 for 3 shrimp is a bit ridiculous.
The flavors were good. The food was fresh. I’ve previously had their green curry, which is great. But I spent $25 on lunch and wasn’t as full as if I spent $15 at my favorite Thai place.
Place is takeout only. No in-house delivery, either. Only thru third-party apps.
There is a public parking lot (metered parking) right behind the restaurant.

I had never had Thai food prior to my 30’s with the exception of a trip to Georgia. Clearly the good people of Georgia can do some things well, but Thai is not one of them.
River Thai was not my first experience with this food, but it was the best. I went here on the recommendation of a Chiropractor who had a friend who was a huge foodie. That foodie told the Chiropractor that River Thai had the best Thai food he had ever eaten and it surpassed any other placed by far.
My favorite dish is the Pad Thai. it is fantastic, regardless of your choice of protein. I enjoy the curry puff appetizer. They are more than accommodating with the spice levels from “not at all” up to “oh my God, why did I ask for this?” I have never had a bad meal there. My wife, who has eaten far more Thai food than I have also has said that no one makes better Pad Thai.
While I have primarily eaten in the restaurant, we have ordered take out from time to time. We have always picked up when ordering take out.
The restaurant is clean inside, if not a little small, but it doesn’t need to be large. The people are very nice. The only complaint I have ever had is not everyone at the table’s food comes out at the same time. They will carry one or two dishes out at a time. This has never been a personal problem that took away from my enjoyment, just a little quirk of this particular place.
I absolutely recommend it and if my family ever wants Thai, this is where we go.

Very skimpy portions! Bad value. It was a very forgettable lunch. We ordered three dishes. Shrimp Pad Thai, Red Curry, Pad Ma Muang. I can’t believe the Shrimp Pad Thai had only 3-4 shrimps! Will not visit this place again. There are much better quality and quantity options.

I just felt like I needed to throw in an update after all that’s happened in the world. I’ve been a regular patron of River Thai for over a decade now and I still love it just as much as ever. During the pandemic, it was comforting to know I could still get my favorite food. The food is always hot and delicious whether you dine-in or take-out. The added benefit of DoorDash/GrubHub helps on the days I can’t get there personally. And of course the staff is as lovely and wonderful as ever. If you’ve never tried Thai, make this your first adventure. You will not regret it. If you’re a Thai food veteran, than do yourself a favor and stop in. It’s still by FAR my favorite Thai place and the only one I’ll go to.

So I tried a few different things from this restaurant and figured they’re not great but it’s okay they’re not horrible. So I tried to call amari which didn’t have any real taste to it other than fried crust that my kids said it tastes like chicken LOL. The wings that I got were actually really good. The dumplings I can go without them my daughter says she prefers the ones from the Chinese restaurant better the flavor is better. And finally the entree I purchased with shrimp again it was okay wasn’t that flavorful, the shrimp still had their ends on them but overall I think it was just the lack of a mixture of flavors for me if I compare it to other Thai places that I’ve been to. Again it’s far from a horrible place but they can do better.

We were impressed by the warmth and friendliness of the waiters even before we ordered. Absolutely stunned by the dishes when they came out – minimal wait time, generous portions and very authentic taste, served steaming hot so we could tell it came straight from the kitchen with no delay.
The food is very reasonably priced, the portions are large and incredibly flavourful, and the service and general atmosphere is wonderful.
If by chance you find yourself in the area, don’t hesitate to come in, and don’t forget to order a Thai iced tea!

This is a great Thai place with a wide range of delicious dishes at affordable prices. The staff is friendly and personable. I have been here several times and gotten different things each time, all good. I recommend the Summer Roll and the Massamun Curry. They have a $15 credit card minimum.
