I honestly would do 5 stars if not for 2 things.
First, let me tell you the catfish was AMAZING! Even next day, cold out the fridge it was amazing! Meat was thick and the breading thin and not oily at all, honestly was perfect. And super big pieces! My favorite thing for sure.
Now, I didnt give it 5 stars because their ribs were not great, very thin and had cartilage bits all throughout and very little meat. With a better section of rib these could be amazing.
Also, please note this is not a restaurant but a remodeled HOUSE.
Nothing wrong with that, but just be aware if your trying to find it at night. It does have a sign and some lights.
Other than that, if im ever craving catfish, I know where to go! Absolutely worth the 30 minute drive it took for me to get there. Just, maybe not for ribs, lol.
Other notes:
Fries were not great but the sauce on them was good.
Okra was decent when hot but its the battered kind so not great next day. Fries and okra probably come pre-frozen.
Corn was very good and sauce seemed standard.
If I could, I’d suggest a cornbread option and mashed potatoes.
Bread was just regular white slices.
Did not try the desserts.

Just had the Gator and greens and the wife had the rib tips and green beans food was awesome and also the staff can’t go wrong with this place everything we have had here has been delicious and awesome keep up the awesome job guys

Tried it twice and both times menu items weren’t available. Once on a Thursday and again 2 days later on a Saturday. The ribs were good but definitely not like the sign says “no teeth no problem”. The fries were horrible and appeared to be sitting for several hours. The fries should be made to order to ensure quality. Appealing to the eyes matters . The catfish was good but a little heavy on the salt. There are no side options but the fries described above. Both trips they didn’t have jerk chicken and ran out of catfish. The first visit looked like a productive environment with friendly staff. ***As a ex GM and Corporate Food Trainer for multiple food chains, there is definitely room for improvement in several areas of the menu. They have great potential but don’t seem to be able to handle the supply/demand aspect of the menu posted at this time. They must be able to compete with local restaurants with fish and ribs but we ended up going back down the street to Da Catch for fish because they were out. We will still support any BLK owned restaurants though.

I was very disappointed when the cashier told me that they no longer sell live fish and I ordered the boneless buffalo fried fish with barbecue fries and the six piece fried wings. Neither the wings or the fish were seasoned. The wings were small like Chiclets very bad experience I like to buy the fish and cook it myself so first and last time patronizing the restaurant sorry to see the fish market go.

Me and my boyfriend went there for the first time I got full slab of ribs with fries corn and bread also catfish fillets and rib tip all of there food was so DAMN GOOD I most definitely will be going back
