Our Brand NEW Carl’s Jr is now open! I just went and I gotta say, I think the memory of the nostalgia of what we USED to have in Carson 11 years ago is better than the reality of what it is now. I’m as excited as the next guy, but the food just didn’t stack up to even Wendy’s. The bread on the burger was too dense and dry and fell apart in my hands and the much looked forward onions rings were just too bland! Maybe Carl’s Jr is best kept in memories and not looked at to close in the reality of today! I wanted to like it better , even for old times sake … but alas! See the pics.

Not sure what all the hate is about- they were slammed when my family showed up. Like cars pulling out of line from the drive thru, there were so many people! Everyone inside working seemed a bit stressed on gettin food out, but no one was trippin over eachother & the staff was still polite, attentive, & calm while shufflin to get orders. No one inside was yelling at staff or giving dirty looks for messed up orders. Seating area was clean while we sat & waited for our number to be called. Our food was hot & our order correct. Im grateful for this staff tryin their best to make sure our order came out correctly & quickly. I think my family waited maybe 15 minutes while we were in the “dinner rush”. Only complaint is amount of fries, waffle fries, & onion rings given in each container. Pretty chinsy & a bit absurd for so little, but still hot & tasted good!

I didn’t mind waiting the 45 mins in the drive through we had to wait but unfortunately it was only down hill from there!
We get to the window and except to get good food and service at least but first thing the lady at the window is rude gives us our sodas I take a sip well waiting on our food and it’s water and no carbonation so I ask her if we could get 2 different sodas says the machine is out of carbonation and I ask okay could I get different drinks she says no! Then they give us our food and it’s not what we ordered we paid for triple burgers got singe which would be find if I didn’t just pay 60$ on only 3 people and not much food at all!
The fries where half empty cold and sticky oily like they had been sitting for hours with bad oil which would be ironic since they just opened and we had to wait so long you would think we where waiting to get fresh food but no everything was awful the food the service the wait last night they didn’t want to help me or make it right
So I came back today hoping for redemption and I wait in line to politely tell the lady I would like to speak with a supervisor and I tell her why and she was very nice the to elder lady’s up front would wonderful but the manager who was bagging food she talked to accused me of lying wouldn’t talk to me just told the lady said no they ate the food which wasn’t true after trying it we through it away!!!
It was inedible, I just wanted a refund but i understand that they weren’t comfortable doing that because I didn’t have the food from yesterday but the Latina man who was the manager was yelling being extremely rude when I was very nicely letting him know what had happened and he said I guess I’ll just make the food then the lady told me and I excepted the food maybe it will be better no it was hot at least today but very sloppy and unprofessional I think they wasted there time opening back I won’t be back and will not recommend eating there

The two lady’s upfront though super nice and calm with everything!!!!

My review is based on service and how I am treated rather than basing it on the food. All fast food to me is mediocre, it’s just a matter of what I’m craving, and if I can force myself to spend money on a fast-food meal.
At this Carl’s Jr., which by the way I heard had a fire and will be temporarily closed, the employees (per some reviews) maybe don’t get enough credit for the work they do. They work hard, and I have seen many times that they need more help, yet they do their best. I pick-up and deliver food, so sometimes I am able to see what goes on behind the counter for more than a 30 second encounter. I’ve never seen anyone standing around, a little stressed maybe, but I can relate to that. They always treat me with respect and kindness; they notice you are there, instead of ignoring you like your invisible, they have even offered me a cup to get something to drink while I wait. (Hmm, where have I heard about that kind of kindness before). Maybe people are just in too much of a hurry. Hec, we used to have to stand in line and order, then wait in line to get it. Now days, if people are in such a hurry, get the App. order ahead. Just don’t be surprised if your ice or shake is melted and your hot food is cold. That’s what you give up for speed. You want your shake still frozen or your burger and fries hot, then go stand in line and order and prepare to have to wait. In regard to the fire, hopefully the employees are o.k., have a job and still getting paid so they can survive.
Have a great day!

My first time eating at the new Carl’s Jr. Very clean and spacious facility. The front POS system was down at the time of our visit. The employees had to manually write down each customers order and ring it up on the drive-thru terminal. A bit chaotic but they did it with a smile on their face. We chose to dine in as there was a generous amount of available seating. Accommodations and atmosphere was quite pleasant and our food was delivered in a timely manner. The food was fresh and hot and exactly as ordered. Great job.

The four times I’ve been in there. Food is always sitting up on the char broiler It’s always cold. I finally just gave up. I won’t go back there. It’s pretty sad cause that’s my favorite restaurant. I have to drive all the way to Reno to get a good burger from Carl’s Jr. ery poor management I mean very poor management. People are just not trained correctly in food safety. Owners of Carl’s Jr. in Carson City. I hope you read this and understand your restaurant is a big flop you can turn this around you would have people in a long line out the door. We all waited for this. I know at least 30 people. They said they’d never walk back in there again.

The only issue ive ever had here was one time and i mean one time the soda fountain had no syrup but no big deal they gave me a lemonade instead and bam all was good. The food tastes just how i remember wonderful and perfect with the fries having the best taste being perfectly seasoned compared to other fast food joints i have been too so every time im in carson i stop by.

I don’t expect this place to stay open for very long if it’s just going to be understaffed every time I go in. You’re lucky if you get your food within a 15 minute threshold and forget coming here for your lunch break because you’ll be spending most of it waiting. I stood at the counter for 10 straight minutes and nobody in the back came up to take orders which was ridiculous, so I just went to Arby’s instead. The onion rings here taste burnt anyway. The burgers are fine if you like that charbroiled flavor but it’s not worth the wait.

I was so excited that Carls was back. My son drove from Dayton to get me a plain cheeseburger with Santa Fe sauce because that’s what I’ve missed about not having a Carls close by and because I was a little sad he went yesterday without me. Well, they messed up his order yesterday and he said well they were busy it’s their first day and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Well he just got home with my food that he repeatedly asked them for plain with sauce only and they are not and without the sauce! I was craving that so badly and I’m allergic to mustard. The bun is dry and falling apart and the meat looks so overcooked and hard as a rock. And conveniently they have no phone number to call. Not off to a good start at all. Very disappointing. Enough to make me write a review. Specially since we do not have many places out here to eat. What a waste of a drive. My son broke it open to take a picture.

My son and I went in today for lunch, we were the only customers at the moment. The service was pleasant and the food was the best we’ve had yet at this location! It was all fresh & prepared nicely.
The restaurant was fairly clean and well kept. Looking forward to visiting again
