Stopped by the Rochester, Indiana Starbucks off the interstate during one of my many trips between Kokomo and Chicago. I’ve been to this location quite a few times, mainly because it’s conveniently located right off the highway. That convenience is really the main reason I keep stopping here. The store itself feels a bit small considering how busy it usually is, especially during peak travel times. You can feel that in the parking lot as well, which gets tight pretty quickly.
Service was fine overall, but nothing really stood out in a positive way. We ordered a warm croissant, and at some point it was placed on the counter, but we weren’t sure if our names were called. It might have been our fault for not paying close attention, but the handoff felt a little unclear and disorganized. That moment made the experience slightly unpleasant and awkward. Overall, it’s a convenient stop, but the execution could be smoother given how much traffic this location sees.

I am traveling and I was in need of a coffee stop. After finally finding a Starbucks I ordered my go to drink. First off at the drive thru I felt like I was imposing and was met with a very short and kind of rude employee. After I got my drink the whole bottom was filled with an inch of caramel to the point where it was gross to drink. The drink had hardly any ice and was lukewarm. I asked for a triple shot and I don’t believe that I even got an extra shot. As I mentioned I always get the same drink and I was highly disappointed. Just leaving a review in hopes to warn others not to waste their time.

This starbucks in Rochester is my go-to coffee stop on the way from SB to Indy. Orders are accurate and on-time, making it easy to do a quick detour off of 31. And the employees are friendly too.

Do not stop if you need to get out fast! Bathrooms and store were clean and food and drink were fine but not wow. My biggest grief is that I waited 20 minutes at 4:30pm from start to finish when there were literally 6 customers there.(not with large orders) Employees were having side conversations not paying attention to what they were doing, lost my order and when I noticed a person that came in after me I said something and then they apologized and made it. This was after I actually watched them make an order similar to mine and threw it away! Didn’t even ask anyone if they wanted it or put it behind the counter for employees, just tossed it right in the trash and kept talking to one another disregarding that I had been standing there for a long time. I know it’s fast food but this team was asleep at the wheel!

We have lived in Rochester now for two years since moving, and we’ve never had a negative experience with this place until recently. The same barista with the dark hair constantly has an attitude, unloading experience each time just very rude.
