This is a very classy place with a unique and delicious menu. The vibe evokes Paris, but still has an open feel. The green eggs and ham were absolutely delicious. The place was kid friendly, but if my baby had started screaming, I would have probably felt uncomfortable because it wasn’t very loud. Over all, I definitely recommend it!

I thoroughly enjoyed my mocha, service was prompt and friendly. Menu features biscuits, omlettes, crepes, pancakes. My food was quite meh though, there’s better places for breakfast in Lafayette.

Fantastic brunch spot for Lafayette!
We were happy when Tangerine came to Lafayette, we always loved going there in Boulder. The wait can be long, so we were hoping to find another spot in Lafayette to try.
Mon Cheri is fantastic! They have bottomless Bloody Marys and mimosas, and are attentive enough to make it worth while. They were always ready as we were finishing a round to offer another.
They have a bakery in house which helps the brunch shine. I had the Santa Fe style biscuits with green chili and it was one of the better brunch items I’ve had in a long time. The in house baked biscuits are amazing!
We’ll be back to try dinner!

Mon Cheri is quickly becoming my favorite breakfast/brunch place in Lafayette. Not only is the food delicious, today we brought our pup along and they not only gave him water but a bacon snack! Plus with $9 bottomless mimosas, it’s hard not to my this my permanent Sunday brunch spot. Definitely recommend 🙂
Update: their chef now makes dog treats too

My husband and I had breakfast here on a Sunday before 9am. We definitely beat the rush, which was nice. I sympathized with the young lady taking care of all the tables herself, as it seemed the second shift didn’t come in until after 9. She did a great job and took time to chat although she was busy. I had the 2 egg breakfast and my husband got an omelet. Both delicious, huge portions and very reasonably priced. The cinnamon roll looked better than it tasted, but once you’ve had Ye Olde College Diner grilled stickies at Penn State, everything pales in comparison. Highly recommend for a yummy breakfast! We’ll be back!

The food is pretty simple. We were there for a large wedding brunch and had a smaller choice of menu. The green chili on the omelet was good… the biscuits were a little too dense/dry. The staff was very friendly. We had 2 macarons after, and they weren’t my fave (hard). I would say this place is decent, but not on my list of favorites.

We’ve been delighted with Mon Cheri on our three visits; twice for dinner with friends who also were pleased, and once for lunch. We were a group of eight on Saturday evening and everyone was happy with their meals and the service was excellent. Meat loaf is delicious and a hearty portion is served, three different chicken dishes all very tasty. It’s a great, little local spot.

You will find yourself in a wonderfilled beauty of a Mom and Pop restaurant. Cheri is fantastic. Her staff are a little competitive service wise which is good for guests. Bartenders are charming friendly and engaging. Brunch was phenomenal. Walked in and began to enjoy a fine and fun dining experience. Don’t understand why there was a 2 hour wait at Tangerines.
I recommend……EVERYTHING!

Love this place!! I’ve been for both brunch and dinner and it was fabulous. I met the owners on my first visit. Sat at the bar. Unlimited mimosas. Not complaining. I was immediately impressed by the attitude of the owner and his hard-working staff. ( wife is Cherie ) On my second trip, for dinner, my server Andrea was simply fabulous! (Seriously) So was the food!! The meatloaf is delicious and so was the pasta with Alfredo and vegetables with chicken. Radiatorre . The French onion soup was also very good. The house salad was fresh and much better than most. Fresh dressing. My wine was reasonably priced and excellent a French wine. Jean-Paul. The bakery might be the best part! don’t leave without a pecan sticky bun and some other yummy treats like homemade fudge and woopie pies. I support local small business whenever possible and Mon Cherie deserves all the customers they can handle. Thanks Andrea ❤️

So, let me begin by saying that there is nothing terrible with Mon Cheri. It’s fine, really. The food there is reasonably priced, and will meet your breakfast needs.
But here is the problem, it’s just fine. Mon Cheri is the place your 70 year old parents like to go for breakfast because there’s none of those young hipster kids there, and they can get their eggs and toast.
But they are competing with places that serve food that doesn’t seem like it was renamed from a Denny’s menu. Including the obviously commercial products, sausage patties that are mysteriously and precisely shaped the same, or biscuits that are comfortingly similar to hockey pucks. Both in size, texture, and density.
The servers always seem either vaguely over worked or completely absent where the common joke is always ask for coffee when they come , even if your cup is full, because it will be 20 minutes before it comes around.
Now bear in mind that I am not trying to dump on a local independent restaurant, but the truth is that 70% of them fail, and unless Mon Cheri changes it’s path it will eventually become a new place.
