First time here. I had two chicken tamales and a sope. I think the food was good and the place was very well lit and very clean environment, I enjoyed that very much. I know I will be back to sample more things off the menu. The one day I went, the sope had the edge over the tamales that time but am curious to see other stuff on the menu. Most interestingly, this taqueria has been there a long time and I didn’t know it existed until a few weeks ago.

This place is the real deal. Let’s start with really clean in the dinning area and really clean behind the counter. Next, Wichos employees were really friendly. I sometimes cause confusion with my order additions and subtractions but they were able to get my order correct the first time. Finally, Wichos Tacos is really authentic. I was able to find Sopes and tamales. This is a very good taco choice but they have so much more. I can wait to go back.

* I liked my sope (meat of choice, lettuce, sour cream, grated cheese); although the maize-baked shell was a bit difficult to cut with only the plastic fork provided
* Make sure to get the green and red sauces, kept in mustard and ketchup bottles
* Soft drinks, coconut juice, Jarritos, and other non-alcoholic drinks.
* Pork tamale I had was a great deal; but tamales may not be regular, “permanent” parts of the menu.
Expect fluent English, despite being an authentic Mexican restaurant. A TV is likely turned to something in Spanish, and a portrait of Emiliano Zapata hangs on a wall.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I know tacos. Wichos is the real deal. Their tacos are served in full-sized corn tortillas. Each contains enough meat for about three small street style tacos. Good menu. Clean. Friendly. Inexpensive. Tasty. Wouldn’t mind if they created another salsa for those of us who like extreme heat.

Went there with a party of 20 people we pre-ordered over the phone. Our waitress was great, the food was exceptional, except for the chorizo taco I had was a bit dry. The amount of food they give you for the price is crazy…so much food.
