Recommended by our hotel staff. OH had Sunday dinner, I had hot roast beef. Dinner had plenty of turkey, salt beef. Berry pudding was great. Enough on the plate for two people so had to take some home. Could have made 2 sandwiches with the pile of roast beef on my sandwich. We’ll be back for breakfast tomorrow. You won’t be disappointed.

We heard so much about this place, we had to dine here. The Jigg’s Dinner did not disappoint! It arrived hot. Delicious flavours. Huge serving. Bring your appetite. Fast friendly service. We bought their “Moose Farts” for dessert to take with us. They have many baked goods for sale as well. This restaurant was featured recently on ‘Canada’s Amazing Race’ TV program.

Loved this restaurant! Great service and attentive. The waitress was funny and recommended the special. It was delicious. Roast beef dinner with pudding and salt beef. My friend had the turkey. There was so much food that I took a full take out tray home. There is a bakery here as well. We bought shortbread cookies and bread. All delicious. Try this special restaurant with a great Newfoundland menu.

Staff was amazing we presented our concerns and they asked to fix them.., fries were cold, soup was cold… overall food was very bland. What made me angry was the cost of my grandsons lunch was $19. We ordered him a small pizza which was the smallest pizza I have ever seen (you will get a good laugh from the picture) and the pizza came with home fries and I asked if he could have a Caesar salad instead and she said yes with no mention of an up charge… yes, I assumed there would be a couple of dollars being it was only a kids meal. We received our bill and it was an additional $5.99 on top of the $12.99 for his meal, even though he didn’t get the hashbrowns. Other than that, staff was very nice and they had a bakery with bread and a lot of great desserts which we bought peanut butter balls.

We ordered the seafood platter — the bacon-wrapped scallops were absolutely delicious! The salmon was well-seasoned, and the shrimp and pan-seared cod were fresh and crispy. We also had the beef hot dinner, which came with onions and turkey gravy — hearty, flavorful, and served in huge portions. Be prepared for a long line and wait time, but it’s worth it!

Came here twice for lunch and dinner, while overnighting in Gander. Had to line up for a table, but that moved quickly.
Between the three of us, we ordered 2 entrees. Portions sizes are gigantic, but everything was delicious. Especially the lemon meringue pie.

It was really delicious!! We had Jiggs diner and our daughters had the Sunday roast even though it was Thursday because they couldn’t make the Jiggs diner in kids portion. We highly recommend this place!

Fresh, home style Newfoundland cooking in Gander. Rosie’s was very busy which I think is a testament to its popularity. Staff were very knowledgeable of the menu and made recommendations we loved. Portions were large and everything was homemade.

Rosie’s was recommended by a local, it’s very near the Gander International Airport so we decided to try it.
This is one of those secret gems that only the locals, frequent visitors or friends of the locals know. It seemed that everyone knew each other and staff were greeting customers by name and it felt like one big happy family reunion.
A lot of baked goods, from fresh bread to pastries were available to go. The restaurant is located behind the bakery. The variety of baked goods was also amazing, considering it was a small place, they had so many products, it was easy to buy more than needed.
At the restaurant, I had the clubhouse sandwich with soup. The sandwich was excellent, thick cut of moist chicken, newly toasted bread, fresh lettuce tomato and just the right amount of mayo.
My friends had the hamburger with noodle soup, and the chowder. I tasted all and I think the clubhouse was the best. They had specials on the board too.
The interiors were clean and neat. The tables were cleaned as soon as customers left. The bathroom was just as clean. Service was excellent and friendly.
