I recently ordered from Dawat India and had a truly disappointing experience. I ordered six pieces of tandoori chicken, but only received five. It was late at night, I was really hungry, and when I called them to report the missing piece, they initially tried to justify it by saying that maybe the pieces were just joint pieces combined together. I explained that all the pieces were separate and it was clearly one piece short.After that, they put me on hold for another three minutes, and eventually, in the middle of a blizzard outside, their solution was to have me bring the food back in to exchange it. Honestly, it felt like they completely lacked common sense and any reasonable customer service approach. I was shocked that this was their idea of a solution at that hour and in those weather conditions.
I’m leaving this review to reflect my disappointment and I really hope they improve their service in the future.

We had previously been very happy with the food this restaurant served, but our recent experience was quite disappointing and it’s actually from last 2 visit they are not serving the exact dish what we were eating in past times. It seemed that the regular chef may left the restaurant, because the quality and taste of the food were noticeably different from what we had enjoyed before, taste is completely changed and it’s tasteless.
The serving staff were courteous and polite, which we appreciated. However, when we informed this to the owner that the dish we received did not match what we had ordered, the owner was not willing to acknowledge the concern. He insisted that the dish was Paneer Mewa Masala and it’s the correct dish, even though we are familiar with this dish and have had it many times at this same restaurants.
Unfortunately, the owner did not appear to have a clear understanding of the food being served and was not very polite when it came to handling customer feedback. After going back to the kitchen, he offered to prepare Shahi Paneer instead, but the dish that came back was tasteless and not enjoyable. It seemed as though the previous dish may have been altered and served again, which was disappointing. Spent my $30 dollars gone waste.
When we decided to leave and tried to share our feedback, the owner was not willing to listen or provide any service recovery. Customer feedback is important, and a better response could have improved the situation.
Overall, while the serving staff were good, the food quality and the way the concern was handled made this a disappointing dining experience in Regina.

Ordered food at 1 AM and it was very disappointing. The food tasted like frozen, reheated food. Roti and naan were extremely hard and difficult to eat. Not fresh at all. Would not recommend ordering late night.

Went to Dawat India with a friend recently. To begin with, the server was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated.
We ordered the lamb biryani and coconut chicken curry. The biryani was decent, not the best I’ve had, but it wasn’t bad either. The coconut chicken curry, on the other hand, didn’t really have any noticeable coconut flavor, which was a bit disappointing. I also ordered a drink, but unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it.
One highlight was the music, really enjoyed it! It added a nice vibe to an otherwise quiet space.
Overall, it was an okay experience. Not somewhere I’d rush back to, but it’s not the worst either.

Me and my partner love getting Dawats food late night and it always tasted great, never had a bad experience or taste and the front desk lady she is so sweet to us an greets with a large smile when we come inside

I ordered vegan thali worst experience of my life. The food in this thali was of very poor quality — the rice, gulab jamun, and other items were all disappointing. I had skipped this order earlier, and even this time there were no napkins or spoons provided. It was a terrible experience. Please don’t order this.

It almost have a home like feel to it, likely cause it is in an old home. A very nice set up from the small moment i was there. All i needed was some naan and the price is absolutely amazing for what i paid for. I will come back eventually and try and some other foods.

I recently made an order through Uber Eats. This was first time I ordered and totally disappointed. There packaging of food was in cloth bag used for grocery’s. Secondly, taste was literally worst. Will never order or visit again.
