Best sourdough bread in Sarasota! So fresh and delicious!
I recently tried their pistachio croissant, wow! Seriously best croissant I’ve ever had! Perfect texture and taste! It was also beautiful! I don’t have social media but I took a picture of it to show friends and family who come to town!
We frequent here once a week for a fresh loaf of sourdough but also have tried their ciabatta which is amazing too! My daughter now constantly asks for a piece of bread with butter!

I love bread—and Bread Bandits delivers! Their sourdough loaves and baguettes are outstanding (White, Whole Wheat, Multigrain, Rye) and they’ll even slice your loaf on request. Don’t miss the brioche buns, Pullman sandwich loaves, and focaccia. They also offer specialty loaves throughout the week – Thursday: Cranberry Walnut Sourdough; Friday: Challah; Saturday: Potato Cheddar Sourdough; Sunday: Olive Rosemary Sourdough. Pastries include chocolate, almond, and chocolate-almond croissants, ham & cheese croissant, seasonal fruit danish, palmiers, pain au raisin, cardamom bun, tiramisu tart, salted chocolate caramel tart, and chocolate chip cookies. Fresh, expertly made, open 7 days a week (takeout only). Highly recommend!

My first time and purchased 2 loaves of sourdough bread. The bread is delicious, dense and flavorful. The staff is very welcoming. Highly recommend!

Friends gave me two freshly baked croissants from the Bread Bandits.
They were the biggest I have ever seen with a “million” layers of buttery, fluffy, flaky pastry. I lived in France for a year but these were better than anything tasted before.

We went to get sourdough yesterday. Loaf was flat, small and underwhelming.
Not sure what is put in the bread for flavoring but it has an artificial sour taste. Didn’t event finish the loaf.
We drove 40 minutes based on reviews.
The sourdough baguette was good not overly artificial tasting. But the loaf.. not good.
Very friendly staff at register.

I can’t believe they sold this bread. In our opinion it is very much overcooked. Not sure if their bread is always like this but it was extremely disappointing. We love artisan bread. Few ingredients with sour dough starters are the best. But this tasted like burnt pizza crust. Just curious if this is the how cooked the bread always is or if this was a mistake that should have been tossed.

I cannot believe we have an organic French bakery in our backyard. absolutely delicious made with love by bakers who care about each patron. Sourdough loaves and Pullman loaves, real Rye (dare I say best I have ever had!), Baguettes (omg don’t let me near the bag, addictively crunchy) and Croissants. Run don’t walk (after all u need to use those calories for what’s in store and bc they sell out! And get u a crunchy bite of Paris in Sarasota!
update: they now have Macarons that are so unbelievably delicious, of course their Pretzels are wonderful (though I miss the mustard they use to serve w it), and I am obsessed with their Challah (only on Fridays and get there early bc they run out – Best Challah hands down! pro tip: try it with some hazelnut chocolate spread. thank me later.)
Brioche buns are a must get in the bags in the front.
and now! BAGELS! Fresh, organic, chewy, perfectly delicious bagels right here in Sarasota! We tried the plain, asiago, and a new level of everything bagel! mmmm
Update: and now they have the biggest fluffiest English Muffins!! Seriously. Are you not already in your car on the way there? What are you waiting for?

After being a loyal customer for two years, I found a piece of plastic in my croissant when I brought it to the owners attention he was dismissive and unapologetic! On occasions I also see employees on their phone while working the dough and baked goods. If I was rating the quality alone, this would be 10/10 but the overall experience makes it hard to continue supporting the business.

The bread is fantastic, all made with a sourdough base. I’ve had the croissants: plain, chocolate, almond and pistachio. All were amazing! It could be really cute shop but it’s kind of disorganized. There’s a sandwich menu but they don’t make them.

Amazing little bakery. I got here a little late in the day so I missed out on a lot of things but the few things that I got are so good. The lamination on the croissants are beautiful. The nutty aroma from the sour dough baguette. It reminds me of when I had my bakery in NY. Beautiful little space. I’ll have to swing by earlier to try other stuff.
