Alright now… let’s talk about it for a second.
So yesterday my coworkers and I came here (2 plates) and the fish was **sooooo good** we said, Let’s run it back tomorrow.3 plates this time cause we bragged on it Big mistake.
Today we got fish that looked fried on the outside but **mushy and pink on the inside**. Not “juicy.” Not “tender.” I mean **still thinking about the ocean**.
We politely brought it to their attention thinking it would be a quick fix or refund. Instead we were told **“that’s just how our fish looks.”** Refund? Absolutely not.
Now listen… I really hate to do this to a **Black-owned business**, because we should support each other. But at the end of the day **right is right and wrong is wrong**. If food is undercooked and customers bring it back respectfully, the response shouldn’t be a shrug and a “that’s how it is.”
So here we are.
If you like your fish **crispy on the outside and auditioning for sushi on the inside**, then baby this might be the place for you. If you prefer fish that is actually **fully cooked**, you might want to roll on somewhere else.

I had an amazing experience at Williby’s Catfish! The food was outstanding — the catfish was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside. You can tell everything is cooked fresh and made with care.
The customer service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed without missing a beat.
The atmosphere is laid-back and authentic New Orleans, which makes the whole experience even better. This spot is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!

This place is Black owned, the food was amazing, my husband is still talking. About that Potato salad . They accept EBT, you can have your fish cleaned and take it home and cook it yourself or you can order from the menu. Small but mighty place, they were busy the day we went.

You don’t have to, but you have the option to catch your own fish. There were some monster size fish in there! Service was quick and of course the food was fresh. Portions size was big, with four filets and two sides. Maybe it was an off day, but the seasoning could be better.

If you like fresh catfish this is the place to go. Fresh out of the water and oil. Potato salad is awesome but it does have onions in it for the people who dont like onions in potato salad. Overall 10/10 Great food

I was under the impression that we had opportunity to catch our own fish, this didn’t happen. The cashier was extremely sweet & welcoming but owner wasn’t. He was actually rude to his cashier in front of us(unprofessional). The catfish was ok. The house punch(watered down kool aid was $5.45/each, the mac & cheese was cold & fries were burnt.

Food is good, atmosphere is horrible to dine in very small nasty counter/bar. The guy( owner’s son)from the kitchen was rude as he’ll to the older lady at the counter. Yelling and I do mean YELLING at her for a simple price mistake, that was her for day(1/7/26) back from the holidays. I felt bad for her, she seems sweet as can be. Fish is being murdered right be for you eyes while you’re eating. Beating and skinnung floppy fish. Mess up my appetite!!

Fresh fried catfish is the specialty, you can watch the workers kill the catfish, skin & filet them right infront of you. They also serve,potato salad, green peas, string beans,baked beans,fried ribs,mac & cheese. They offer party pans,specials,drinks, live catfish per lb & case of catfish fillets They are open Wednesday thru Saturday from 11a to 6p. Friday’s are they busiest day,call your order in to save time. I like their catfish,green peas & potato salad meal.
