Absolutely amazing experience! Michael was not only a fantastic host, he was a superb cook as well. We got the sigsig tacos, the Sinigang wings, the lumpia nanay, crab ragoon, and chocochip cookie lumpias, and also his family’s 100+ yr old reciped fruit salad and everything, I mean everything was amazing. While waiting on the food got to sing some karaoke, wifey got her San Miguel that brought her back home, and the atmosphere was amazing, so much to take in. Definitely gonna be a go to every time we come down to MB which isn’t too far from home for us. Had a great time Michael. Thank you so much.

It’s been a couple years since I’ve been back to Surfside Beach. Was happy to see this restaurant. Food was delicious! Freshly made and very tasty. Didn’t need the Awesome sauce with my lumpia. Will definitely be back!

This place is one of the greatest hidden gem food joints I’ve had since moving here. Owner is extremely friendly, and helped us pick what he believed we’d enjoy most. Food is OUTSTANDING, prices are fair, and it is a cultural pleasure. I will be a returning customer.

Once you get to this place, you’ll see a sign that says “the worst Filipino food that one guy on google reviews ever had”. At first it’s funny till you actually try the food. We ordered pancit bihon and chicken adobo. Starting with the pancit, super dry no flavor we couldn’t finish it. Next is chicken adobo, just at first glance we can already tell it wasn’t marinated with traditional ingredients. We tried it chicken was dry and it was bland no hint of adobo flavor. We brought it up to the person in charge and he told us it’s been marinated with soy sauce, vinegar the whole nine yards. Photos have been included on this review. You guys be the judge. Overall, atmosphere wise is okay but food wise it’s disappointing.

Being half Filipino myself, I get excited when I’m traveling and find a local Filipino restaurant- especially one doing Filipino fusion food. My husband and I stopped by and tried the chicken adobo, sisig fries and three different types of lumpia- carnitas, bbq chicken and S’mores. The restaurant also offers Filipino beer which my husband enjoyed while we waited for our food. The adobo was good but not my favorite (I know everyone’s mama made it differently so it’s what you grew up on) BUT them Sisig fries were I Loved them! The owner suggested them to us and they did not disappoint. Lots of spicy/tangy flavor. Paired well with the waffle fries. So good! The lumpia was just as delicious and you definitely must try the dessert lumpia because the S’mores was perfectly sweet. I loved the chill vibe of the restaurant. I need the Filipino time clock!! The decor was on point with the fusion theme and the movie mural wall was the best part- So fun and creative. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area.

Definitely check this place out. It’s a cool blend of Filipino classics and an American twist. The food is filling without being heavy and reasonably priced. More than 30 kinds of lumpia…… yes please

9/23 The Manila Grille of Surfside Beach, SC. My first time since 70’s eating Filipino food. Excellent, flavorful and delicious. I ordered Adobo with chicken and pork and two large scoops of white rice. I also had 2 Lumpia ( Filipino egg rolls). I used a container of secret sauce which was good with the Lumpia and white rice.
I met the owner who took the time to explain the menu and answer my questions. The place does have a island vibe, beautiful mural on on side wall, the other wall is with photos and Filipino art stuff I would say. Clean spread out tables. You walk up to order and then take out or eat in. If your hankering for something different this is definitely a grill to try. Pricing is extremely fair and food was plentiful. Loads of parking in the strip mall. We will be going back.
