Me and my boyfriend went and my sandwich was really good I got the Chicken Pesto Manifesto and I really liked it. My boyfriend got a double cheeseburger but the cheeseburger was over cooked and hard on the outside. The server that served our table and the 2 other tables buy us did not know what she doing. Bother of the other table had stuff wrong with there food one table also got a hard over cooked burger and the other table tried to order onion rings but not sure if they got them. The server was asking us about the other tables drinks and when she brought our food out she had brought her boss over and tried to tell her boss that we made a compliant about my boyfriends fries which we did not. We were perfectly fine with them. This server acted like she was on something or maybe she just really didn’t know what she was doing. Me and my boyfriend will probably not go back until that server is fired. My sandwich was 7 dollars. My boyfriend sandwich was like 8 dollars but that over cooked burger was not worth 8 dollars. I hope other people have a better experience than we did.

Went here for breakfast and to do a Bible study with a friend. Quick to bring our drinks. Food arrived a little bit slow but the cafe was busy. Will visit again.

This is a wonderful place to sit down, get some delicious food and talk to your table neighbor. This cozy cafe located at the local airport is a piece of history. It was used as an auxiliary airbase in WWII and you can guarantee to run into a veteran here with some great stories. The staff is friendly and very attentive. They serve breakfast and lunch which is delicious and you feel right at home. Out the window you can see the little airplanes taking off and landing while scarfing down some pancakes. Even the driveway is hard to miss. This airfield is surrounded by cornfields and the driveway is lined with pretty little trees. So stop on by the little Airway Cafe for a cup of coffee, great food and great conversation. You’ll be glad you did.

The five stars is for the lunch menu, which I have had many times and their plate lunches which are great. Breakfast I would rate three or four stars. If they would just make homemade gravy and ham that wasn’t a process loaf sliced, it would be great.

I am a pilot and flew here to this airport and restaurant and was stranded here 3 days due to bad weather. The restaurant has great food by menu and specials each day. The service and staff were very friendly and always made sure your drinks were full. The owner has owned the restaurant for over 16 years and previous owner for I believe 25 years. If you want to eat and watch airplanes land and take off then come on a Saturday because pilots fly in from all over to eat breakfast and lunch here. Some Saturdays up to 30 aircraft sitting on the ramp out front of the restaurant. They are open from 6am to 2pm daily except Sundays. Check times to be sure. It is open to the public to drive in or fly in. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone that was in the area.
