Ordered a large three item Pizza. Burnt crust, very few toppings. Also got a 15-piece boneless chicken wings. Wings were wrapped in foil barely any wing sauce on them. Wings look like they were put in the foil and then wing sauce was doubled over the top. Very dissatisfied.

On Friday December 1st, 2023 around 6:50pm, I placed an order with this Papa Johns through my app. We arrived at the store and pulled up to the drive through window. We sat for 5-6 min and was never looked at. I did observe the workers as we sat there. This young guy with a brown pony tail, air pods in, playing with his phone, with no gloves caught my attention. At first, he was just propped up on the counter playing on his phone. He then did the unthinkable. He began picking his nose!! He went back to playing on his phone. This older lady comes up with a tray full of dough and places it on the counter behind him. In my mind I am PRAYING he doesnt touch the dough. This guy then takes his phone and starts wiping it off on his shirt, places it in his pocket, AND STARTS HANDLING AND PREPPING THE DOUGH BARE HANDED! We pulled away from the drive through and called inside to cancel the order. I explained to the manager what had happened. He sounded like he didnt really care and hung up on me. I came home and reported them on the Papa Johns Corporate website as well as to the South Carolina Department of Health. The next morning Saturday 12/02/23 around noon, their store manager called my cell phone. He apologized and said they would retrain the guy in question. I would NEVER in a million years eat at a Papa Johns again. I am surprised this location hadnt made alot of people sick due to their lack of sanitation standards.

this place is SICK! don’t come here!!! the employees need to be held accountable that were working on 5/29/25 at 11:40pm. i ordered my pizza and they purposefully messed it up completely, not even putting cheese on the middle of the pizza, just red sauce? plus i paid extra for toppings and they only gave me some cheese and pineapple!!! look at this picture!! just SICK!!! don’t eat here! I don’t want any freebies i want the workers held accountable because i will NEVER be back. DISGUSTING!!

These disgusting over baked garlic parmesan bread sticks made me loose my hunger as soon as I saw them there was obviously no garlic or parmesan on them unless it burned off ugh these were terrible I couldn’t stand looking at them because it turned my stomach just looking at them I just moved here from Arizona and when I found a papa John’s I got so excited so I ordered a pizza and garlic parmesan bread sticks less than satisfactory I of course ate the pizza but I really wanted the garlic parmesan bread sticks so my experience was so terrible I will never order from that papa John’s again my mom was much more forgiving than I was as she ate one and said I thought these were garlic parmesan bread sticks I said that’s what I ordered but that’s not what we got

Wrong pizza they didn’t wanna fix it. I called they said they wouldn’t deliver to me( but it’s closer than the one in Gastonia????) I live in Gastonia on state line they were in clover. When I ordered online And it was wrong I called the Papa John’s on Union road after waiting on on the phone for about 45 minutes they finally came back on and said that they had not delivered me a pizza and hung up Go figure so just for the heck of it I called the one in clover and sure enough they had deliver it after they had told me adamantly that they did not deliver to me go figure 3 hours later another pizza was delivered to my door with the bill for the Pepsi that I ordered that was supposed to be complimentary for my troubles go figure I won’t have to figure that I won’t be using Papa John’s anymore in any city or state I recommend anyone that reads this do the same

Note to self…… I’m always hopeful when it comes to Papa John’s pizza, and I’m always let down, everytime. I ordered a large one topping pizza, and wings. Pizza tasted like cardboard, and the wings just didn’t taste right they had some weird aftertaste. So this is a note to myself never to make the mistake of ordering nasty overpriced food from Papa John’s again. Goodbye.

Over the last month the quality has become horrible. Seems their trying to cut corners to save money. The crust has been ridiculously thin, to the point it feels like you’re eating cardboard. This has been the same for every pizza we’ve ordered over the last month (see pic) To top it off, when picking up our carry out order we witnessed the delivery driver leaving the store with pizzas tucked under his arm – SIDEWAYS. Are you serious? That’s the very reason we stopped using their delivery drivers.. too many mushed up pizzas. I wouldn’t be surprised if this location goes under soon. Horrible quality and it seems management couldn’t care less.
