The best thing I’ve ever eaten: their gluten free vegan blondie with maple syrup, chocolate chunks, and walnuts. It was AMAZING. Delicious. Incredible. They warmed it up and it was melt in your mouth good. Thank you for having so many good vegan options!!

Very nice people working here, attentive and helpful. A lot of teas, which taste good and are prepared quickly. This is a perfect spot for a quick snack.

I had lunch with a friend yesterday and was very impressed. The Buddah bowl was delicious! I also tried Dandelion tea for the first time. It tasted surprisingly like coffee in a very good way. They have an great variety of other teas if you want to try something new. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. We sat in a cozy room in the back overlooking the Winooski river. I will definitely be returning!

Beautiful and cozy environment. Ordered a salad, latte, and bakery sweets. Staff were nice. Not many people. Would come back!

As someone who doesn’t drink coffee or alcohol, most cafes and restaurants have no fun beverages to offer me, but I was so pleased to see the selection at North Branch. In addition to classic chai, there were multiple latte options (including the earl grey and lavender latte shown with my shortbread), interesting caffeine free options, and a list of fancy mocktails! I rarely eat out, but I’ll definitely be back here.

We hosted an evening meetup of women business owners and were pleased with both the comfortable atmosphere and amazing food. Lauren and her staff are amazing hosts. This is an amazing place in the heart of Montpelier.

Love North Branch. Only place around for a Dandy Blend latte. Bring your slippers in the winter.

We bought two different kinds of iced tea, and they were the most flavorless teas I’ve ever tasted. If not for the slight difference in color, I would have assumed they gave us plain tap water. Really disappointing

I was researching a specific basaltic vinegar that I had been gifted and knew that it was from Vermont. I came across the North Branch Café, and called them to see if they could ship to me some of the incredible basaltic vinegar. I spoke with Lauren Parker (maybe the owner or manager of the North Branch??) and she said certainly, that she would call me back for my credit card information. Thanking that it was 50-50 on getting a callback, I was surprised when she did give me a call. She had looked to see where they sold this special balsamic vinegar, and it turned out that a vineyard near me sold it.
She recommended that I go there and save the cost of shipping as well as support a local business. She told me all about the different types of balsamic vinegars and various ways to utilize, as well as how healthy it is for you.
The point of this post is that someone went way above and beyond the norm even though they would not monetarily profit from the effort. To experience this kind of Customer Service and passion about what they’re doing and selling is quite a rarity. I was so impressed with the entire scenario that I felt compelled to write a review.
I wish that more businesses understood the value of Customer Service and could be so passionate about what they are doing!
Yeah North Branch Cafe!! You can be sure that when/if I am in Mountpelier Vermont, I will definitely be going to 41 State St.
