I’ve been coming to Suny Sushi since they first opened, and it is — and probably always will be — my favorite sushi spot. The fish is so fresh and the sushi rolls are AMAZING. The owners are incredibly kind, and so is the entire staff. They even gift me miso soup sometimes (I come like once every two weeks haha).
I seriously recommend this place. It’s not too expensive at all, and the quality is just amazing.
My favorites are the Triple Salmon Roll, the Triple Connection, and the Mango Madness.

Forgive the half-eaten food in the picture; as always it’s too good to wait to eat it. Sushi is always super fresh, well constructed, and at a great price. We’ve been multiple times and will continue to eat here every time we go grocery shopping at K Market.

Dirty Utensils – I had to change my spoon twice due to stains and food particles remained. It looks like they don’t do proper dish washing at all.
Once I received the plate, my appetite disappeared due to all of filthy plates.
The food tray was full of sticky stuff and dirty.
I won’t go back to this place at all.

Fresh and quality sushi and sashimi at a reasonable price! By far, the best and quality sushi/sashimi place in the NOVA area. Many people don’t know the importance of rice in sushi, how it’s cooked and seasoned. When the rice is on point, it amplifies the freshness of fish and its delicacy. When two are in harmony, you can say “This is a great sushi” and Suny Sushi exceeded my expectation on that. It’s also worth mention that their sashimi was in great portion (thickness and size). Rightly sized and thick to give you the fullness of the taste of fresh seafood.
I will definiyely recommend my family and friends to give it a try at Suny Sushi because it’s well worth it.
Tip.
When you try out a new sushi restaurant, try out their most basic sushi rolls first. If they are on point with their basic rolls, hey their special rolls may be fantastic!

Such a great visit to SUNY Sushi. I ordered take out and had the triple connection roll, yellowtail maki roll, sashimi, and scallop hand roll! Very fresh. They were so friendly and helpful during my order process and also gave me a business card with a QR Code for easy access to their menu.
I definitely recommend stopping by – dine in or takeout approved .
