Absolutely fantastic first dining experience at Lotus. The food was incredibly fresh and packed with rich, authentic flavours. The samphire pakora was wonderful! The staff were warm, friendly and genuinely polite, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The service was spot-on throughout; attentive without being overbearing. And the cocktails? Delicious and expertly made — the perfect complement to the meal. Can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back.

We visited this newly opened restaurant in city centre late afternoon today.
Food was awesome.
Service was excellent.
Ambience was also cosy and pretty.
Menu was extensive and reasonably priced.
The King Prawns were juicy, flavourful, and perfectly cooked (not overcooked as many places do!).
The Chicken Curry Thaali was had Daal, Chicken Curry, Vegetable Pakora, Salad, Pickles, Plain White Rice, and Naan. Gulab Jaman for the dessert.
All items were good but the Daal was my favourite.
It is a big place, and there is a separate hall upstairs which could be useful for the parties.
I would highly recommend this place. If you like Indian / Pakistani / Nepalese food, then this place is worth the try.

New owners, new menu. Thought we would give it a go Friday lunchtime. The decore has been given a few upgrades since The Banyan Tree and they are rather nice. All felt very modern and relaxed. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. My wife and I are pescetarian/vegetarian and there were plenty of tantalising options available. We shared a sev puri starter. This was a very light, refreshing, taste sensation that tingled in the mouth…delicious. For mains we ordered tandoori monkfish, pumpkin makhini, thoran vegetables, jeera rice and lacha paratha. The food quality was next level and the skill of the kitchen obvious. The last grain of rice was consumed and dishes wiped clean with the deliciously light, crispy paratha. Presentation was elegant and pleasing. Staff were warm and friendly. Prices very reasonable given the evident quality and attention. We wish the new owners and staff every success in their new venture. Our new favourite and we can’t wait to return.

We were made to feel really welcome as soon as we arrived. Service was quick but not rushed. I loved the Chilli Chicken starter (small plate) and my paneer main course but next time I think I’ll order a mix of small plates to share like tapas. There are so many to choose from and I wanted them all!
