Incredible food, not greasy and everything felt like a great serving size for the cost. They had gluten free options and free Pac-Man, and arcade game. Also paper and crayons – seems like this would be a great spot for bringing kids too.

Hands down best gyro you’ll find in the city. The food is always freshly made. There are other places where it tastes like it’s meat that’s just reheated. That never happens here. Their fries are also off the charts – perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The owners couldn’t be greater people. They’re always super friendly and down to chat. It feels like the kind of neighborhood hangout spot that has disappeared over the years. They’re one of our favorite restaurants to visit. If you’re looking for great food and awesome ownership, go to Knossos.

Came here late at night it was like 1:30 on a Saturday after the dormont pub tour. The food was fantastic, we got pirogies, a gyro, and gyro fries. The owner was awesome! He made us some donuts before we left. The place was super clean and had a good menu. They even offer vegan gyros.

A gem in the South Hills of Pittsburgh(Dormont)
They had been closed recently for renovations, but I was glad to see them back open!
I order the classic gyro combo with fries which included a drink. The fries were crispy and perfect. The gyro was cooked to perfection. The veggies were fresh.
I had a nice convo with the owner during my meal. All in all an excellent experience and I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for good food and atmosphere

Food is great! I got a gyro, pierogies, and some gyro fries. However I definitely miss some items from their old menu. They used to have stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, and haluski just to name a few things. I’m glad to see they have delivery options again, on GrubHub. As I haven’t had the chance to go in person yet, and this used to be my go to doordash spot before they changed ownership.

I really had high hopes for this place after reading the other reviews, but I hate to say we were really disappointed. It’s hard to find a place that does good gyros with real gyro meat (not that processed, pre-cut crap.) The gyros had fries on them, and hardly any meat. The pick-a-plate was mostly fried pita and olives, hardly any meat. The gyro fries were good, but more fries and veg than anything, again very little meat. Of 4 sides of tzatziki, one was kinda thick, the other three were very watery. The only things that were actually good were the pierogi’s and the churro chips. Maybe ordering in-restaurant is different, but this was ordered thru GrubHub.

Great spot for food and hanging out located on a lively street near the T and other bars! The gyro meat was delicious in the wrap and on the fries. The pierogis were also really good with onions and sour cream. We dined in and the food was ready in about 10minutes which is good for the time (1:30am). The bathroom was surprisingly cleanly even though it was the night of the Dormont Pub Crawl!

Stopped in on a Saturday night. Ordered a Chicken Gyro large cheese fries and peanut butter shakes. I don’t often order PB shakes as Im not a fan of the oily peanut butter mixed woth the milk but if you want a tasty milkshake for a great price get one woth your Gyro. Mike and Mandy greet all customers with a smile, and a thank you!

had a lovely time dining at knossos, stopped in late with my mom for some dinner and was greeted warmly by the owners and the inviting atmosphere. menu was accessible and left options for vegans and other dietary restrictions. we ordered chicken gyros and a large order of fries, and finished everything on the table! the owner also came over for a pleasant chat with us and even offered us their special for the day which was the greek buffalo wings! we came out feeling very thrilled and excited to visit again. also, huge bonus points for the street fighter 3rd strike and initial d arcade cabinets in the back <3

This was a decent diner back in the day, but after seemingly endless months of being closed, new management has completely remodeled the place with a more lively vibe. It feels like a good spot to take friends and family. There’s plenty of space to sit down and play some games, and there’s even some arcade cabinets! The front is a well lit dining area, and the back is dim and cozy.
The menu has expanded, but you can’t go wrong with a classic gyro and fries. Mike (owner) is friendly and talkative, and has plans for expanding the menu and operating hours. This is about the only place on the main drag of Dormont where you can get some ice cream and shakes.
