Gave House of Tacos a try today. Ordered the Oxnard & Fajita burritos with asada. Large burritos big enough to split with a friend or have a second meal, fresh ingredients, quick service. Could have had more asada but good burritos.
The shop was clean and spacious with indoor seating. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

House of tacos has 10/10 quesabirria tacos, 10/10 grilled shrimp tacos, and 10/10 grilled fish tacos all under one roof. All the food is fresh and they aren’t stingy with the salsa.

Today was my 1st time stumbling upon this restaurant and I will definitely be back. Good selection of tacos & aguas frescas. Tacos are larger than most if not all local taco trucks. Their agua frescas are fresh and delicious. Their salsa had a good kick. Looking forward to going back.

Absolutely love the tacos and flavors here! All the cuts of meat were delicious and tender. Really enjoyed the House Taco with asada. I’ve visited twice already and hands down my new favorite place to get tacos. Restaurant is very clean and bright. Love the colorful artwork and designs. Don’t forget to try the dragon fruit lemonade!!!

Superb. Way more than I expected, authentic Mexican food that was different than the standard menus in other more common Mexican cuisine. I noticed everything is super fresh, the meat is grilled not fried. The salsas are tasty and fresh. Clean all around including the bathroom. Generous portions and nice staff members. I’m going back for sure.

I love coming here for lunch, they have so many options to choose from. There website has all the menu options and there’s lots of photos of the food. I always get the dragon fruit lemonade which is the perfect amount of sweetness.

This is the kind of place that makes me kind of regret giving 5 stars to other places, cause it was a notable step above. We ate at the restaurant and had a variety of Tacos and a shrimp casadilla. The horchata was the creamiest I’ve ever had. All the tacos were excellent! They were larger than a typical taco, I only ate 2 and normally eat 3. The tortillas deserve a special shout out, they were a big step above what you normally get. Even my wife, who hardly ever comments on food, felt these were the best tacos she has had during our 5 months in California. Oh, and staff was friendly to our kids and gave us a few treats unexpectedly for them.

We went to downtown Oxnard 5/4 & were quite disappointed the way the food was served. They tried to fit these tacos into these paper bowls. Everything was squished together as you can see in the pictures. The tortilla completely broke apart when I tried picking it up. Hope they can buy better products to serve the food in.

Took the wifey here for lunch and she loved it. This place had some delicious surf n turf tacos plus super cool vibes. Inside it was really clean and they even had glass bottled coca cola.
