I don’t usually write reviews, but after my experience at the Safeway Starbucks with Emely, I knew I had to take a moment to recognize someone truly special.

Her efficiency, skill, and attention to detail were unmatched. She moved with such grace and professionalism, effortlessly crafting drinks while still making time to engage with me. It was truly inspiring to witness.

It’s clear that she doesn’t just do this for the paycheck—she cares. And in a world where service workers are often overlooked, that care deserves to be acknowledged.

Emely is the kind of employee that any company should be proud to have. She represents everything that great customer service should be—hardworking, kind, attentive, and skilled beyond measure. She turned what could have been just another coffee run into a memorable experience that left me feeling lighter, happier, and more appreciative of the unsung heroes behind the counter.

I sincerely hope Starbucks and Safeway recognize her for the incredible work she does. People like Emely are the heart of these businesses, and they deserve to be celebrated. If you ever visit this location, I hope you’re lucky enough to have Emely as your barista—she’s a true gem.

Thank you, Emely, for your kindness, your hard work, and the light you bring to those around you. You made a difference today, and I hope this review helps others see just how special you are.

We waited for 30 minutes and eventually left without our coffee. We were first in line. The woman at the counter couldn’t handle our order of 5 coffees. She told us we could only order the “tall” size because a smaller size would be “too difficult” for her.
One of us ordered a chai latte, and she asked why, saying it was so hot outside and hard for her to make. We had to place each coffee order one by one.
After 20 minutes, we had only received one drip coffee. The next customer placed her order and was served before us. At that point, I said it wasn’t fair, given how long we had been waiting. She disagreed, so I went to customer service and asked for a refund.
She told us we were being mean, but in reality, the woman from Starbucks simply isn’t capable of doing her job. What a disappointment.

Just want to give a huge shoutout to Kim H. She is incredibly sweet and her customer service is above and beyond.

Black stuff all over the danish. The women was making coffee and handling food with soap suds all over her arm and hand. Had to have my americano remade because “i need to be specific that i don’t want a half a cup of cream in it” I’ve been here a few times and it’s always a long wait. If you’re not a regular i guess you’re not important.

My go to has been the petite vanilla bean scones. I will not be stopping @ starbucks unless NO OTHER OPTION! If they weren’t selling then just maybe it was your lack of representation & sometimes lack of availability. There are many other coffee stops with much better coffee.

Slowest rudest Starbucks I’ve ever been to! every time I visit this site they ignore you and you wait forever or their out of mix and tell you you it will be a while before they can make it! I’ve been going to Starbucks since 1998 and they’ve always been kind, fast and helpful. Not this one…my husband says we should order before we shop so our drinks will be ready by the time we’re done!!

I agree with all of the other bad reviews about this location. I ordered a dragon drink with extra inclusions but hardly got any fruits. I paid extra but didn’t get what I paid for. It’s obvious that the women that work here are not happy with their jobs so they have to give horrible customer service and the quality is greatly affected.

The staff that I met were terrific, friendly and helpful. They let me know how long it will be for my medication,. They also pointed out a waiting room. The one staff member saw that I was handicapped, so see pointed out the electric carts if I need one. I think that the staff were terrific. I will be doing more shopping with Albertson’s and Safeway too. Thank you Everyone

We are regular customers and have never had a bad experience at other Starbucks. Usually excellent customer service. But tonight, TERRIBLE service by Sagavia (sp?). 1. On cell phone when customers are ordering. 2. We come back when our hot chocolates that taste like banana syrup was put in them. First thing you say is “No there’s not!”. And continue arguing with us. Really? Take a class in customer service and proper drink recipes. Here’s what should be in hot chocolate drinks: “Starbucks makes its hot chocolate with mocha syrup that’s used for a variety of other drinks in the store. A barista combines mocha syrup with a couple squirts of vanilla syrup and heated milk, and he then finishes off the drink with a sweet pile of whipped cream.” NOT powder and milk.
