American comfort food done right! This is one of the best places in the area- Mac and cheese, mamas crackers, the specials and the amazing (fresh made) desserts are to die for. Can’t remember the last time I did a 4 course meal in a ski town. Amazing food, drinks, staff, owners. Will be back!!

Great place! I had the Salmon, and my wife had the Fried Chicken. Both were excellent. Our waiter very friendly and I had a great conversation with the gentleman out front at the bar. If you are in the area you owe it to yourself to stop by. We’ll have dinner there again next time we come to Vermont.

Neal, the owner, is fantastic. The pulled pork sandwich was fantastic! The fries are hand cut and just the right amount of seasoning. My mother had the brisket and that was amazing as well! If you come on a Friday or Saturday for smoked prime rib, we got a sample it it was delectable!

Really truly impressed by Neal’s. The food, the service, everything.
We were in a relatively large group so I was able to try a ton of different things. The highlights were the Ribs and the Chicken wings. Fantastic! Couldn’t lift up a rib without the meat falling off the bone.
The service was also impeccable. Kudos to Neal who was there on top of everything and our server Tim who was on top of our drinks all night!

Neal’s is an outstanding restaurant. The owner and his staff go above and beyond to keep everyone happy. All of the food is made with pride from their kitchen, and the prices are appropriate for the quality of food that they serve. I’ve tried the fish, mac and cheese, chicken sandwich, salmon, burger, fries, cauliflower, fried chicken and grits. I have enjoyed every meal! It has become one of my favorite spots in the area.

UPDATE 8/29: Really sad, but I tried to go to Neal’s last night and was told it’s closed for good. Sad that restaurants struggle to survive.

An excellent meal!! The Pad Thai was so delicious, as was the Salmon daily special. My friend has the haddock fried served with chips that was perfect. Crispy and not at all greasy! Service was attentive and great! Thank you Neal we’ll be back.

If you’re in the area I HIGHLY recommend Neal’s. The food is incredible and reasonably priced- honestly some of the best chicken wings and smoked ribs I’ve ever had. The staff couldn’t be nicer. AND, they even have occasional live music from super talented local and touring musicians. Their porch area is perfect to sit outside on a warm Vermont day, and is incredibly spacious- perfect for having socially distanced drinks and dinner. Will absolutely be going back to Neal’s next time I’m in Vermont and can’t wait til I do!
