Really enjoyed Ranahan Steakhouse! First of all, it’s located in a BEAUTIFUL new, sparkling clean building. Great country music playing the whole time, highlighted by Riley Green, Jamey Johnson, and Jon Pardi. Small beer selection, but there’s still something for everyone, craft and domestic enthusiasts alike. I started with the French onion soup (picture below). It was great, and served in the coolest manner I’ve ever seen. Then, had the 12 oz prime rib (picture below). Thought the presentation was fantastic. It was done perfectly, super tender, and tasty. The seasoning wasn’t necessarily my absolute favorite, but still very good. The salad and bread bar was one of the nicest I’ve ever seen. The service was absolutely fantastic! Prices are commensurate with the quality of the experience and food provided, especially considering our current inflationary pricing environment. Will absolutely be back if I’m through Douglas again and would recommend to anyone.

Very clean and modern. The ribeye had good flavor and was cooked to perfection. I sat at the bar, you can hear the kitchen. It was refreshing to hear the communication and team work amongst the kitchen lead and other members. It’s pricey but you pay for quality and that’s what I appreciated.

Drove 45 minutes to get there. The staff was absolutely top drawer. Friendly and efficient! The atmosphere was good, upbeat and casual. My husband had a petit steak- $22. I had chicken strips- $18. If I lived closer, I might go again.

Wow! What a fantastic place! First, you walk in and the building is beautiful! It’s got a great modern woodsy feel that is perfect for Douglas, Wyoming. Next, the service was fantastic. Our host and waitstaff were very professional while also being very personable and fun. Next, the food. I had the ribeye and asparagus. The asparagus was so good it went down immediately! The steak, cooked to a nice medium rare and very flavorful! Great experience all around.
It is a shame that it was sold to Wyoming Downs who will undoubtably ruin this fantastic location and great dining experience for everyone in and who passes through Douglas.

Salad bar was fantastic!!! Potato skins a delight, a smidge over done though but still delicious. The service was pretty good, room for improvement though. The main dishes we ordered, we wouldn’t order again. To much spice for the walleye i ordered and just odd, husbands chicken fried steak was very, bland. Definitely not a special chicken fried steak. Water didn’t have ice cubes, so i thought that was strange. I will definitely try their steak next time i go back.

This was absolutely the best meal I have ever had. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes were to die for.

I was skeptical because the photos I saw online looked like a little diner and as much as I love the small town diners, we were hoping for something on the classy side. We walked in and it is beautiful. I love the art. The atmosphere.
I had the sirloin medium with mashed potatoes. The food was amazing. My husband had the prime rib with fries and it tasted phenomenal. Hardly any fat so he really got to enjoy nearly the entire plate. He also enjoyed the horse radish which he usually doesn’t like.
The house salad was a good starter.
He drank a soda. I tried the Flirty Filly. It was so good. It was also strong. I could not finish it because it’s the type of drink that I could sit and sip on for an hour. The perfect mixed drink for someone who likes to taste the alcohol.
Our ticket said Andrea so I believe that was our waitress. She was great. Very sweet and attentive. Quick.
We were also greeted by a nice gal at our table while we were eating. Possibly the owner? Short hair, super nice. We had a great conversation. Hopefully they open up another one in LONGMONT COLORADO. Please!

Waitress was nice. I know it was a little busy waited patiently 25 mins got table -10 mins got a beer and another. 3 rd and total of 1.75 hrs later no meal. She apologized and I left.worst experience ever after 40 years on the highway. I got no dinner because of computer error. so I got a cold salad next door Happy new year

Traveling through Douglas and stopped for easy dinner, Reuben sandwich. Been told by coworker to go there if I get chance.
Sandwich was much less quality than deli and at $15. Corned beef looked as if lunch meat store bought. Tasted nothing like corned beef less flavor.
Cole slaw was side and sure it was from lunch. Oily, old, kinda soggy.
Definitely disappointed Ranahans…
Was in to go box that as well had absolutely no appeal what so ever.
Family that has 3 corporate chefs and does catering in Houston and Denver areas. I know food and presentation !!
