I waited 25min for my order – didn’t look like the chef was even in at first – then was served a plain chicken sandwich with no toppings (after specifically being asked if I wanted them). It sucks having to leave this review because the Market Grille usually provides nice food options and the grocery store attached is always clean and friendly. But on the busiest time of day on a weekend, the store might consider making sure their staffing needs keep up and their customers are getting more quality items than what I was unfortunately served.

This mealtime pickup and delivery to the car at a designated parking spot is a joke. They do not answer the phone or come to the car to deliver the meal. I didn’t get any updates on the order for when it was ready and no information to let me know I needed to come inside to pickup my food. The person didn’t even know about the parking spots. I called the phone number 7 times and no one picked up. The food is better than the customer service but maybe not because they messed up the sushi order too.

Burgers are spectacular! I never expected them to NAIL a medium rare but they did. Fries were yummy and the pickle to burger ratio was sublime.
The staff were top notch too. Please give them raises IMMEDIATELY.

What a terrible experience!
There were 7 of us in our party that decide to celebrate a birthday and give Market Grille a try.
The wait staff had no clue how to wait tables. There wasn’t a single order of food that came out correct. People were either missing sides or had the wrong sides.
You want another drink? You better flag someone down or it won’t happen.
What’s sad is the “manager” seemed to be good at managing people but didn’t have much restaurant experience either.
I will add that the food was good and I’d go back if it weren’t for the service.

I get Hy-Vee mailers often advertising the Market Grill. One day we said what the heck and went in to try it. The restaurant was empty except for one other patron. The place was clean. We sat at the bar since the only server on the floor was working behind the bar. There menu options were limited. Mainly sandwiches with fries. I ordered the the peanut glazed chicken breast sandwich. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. It was good. Not spectacular but a good solid meal. Portions we’re good sized. I couldn’t finish my sandwich. I really struggle giving it 4 stars. The restaurant was more empty than I like to see. The server was nice, but divulged more information about staffing issues than I needed to hear. I am looking forward to returning and trying thier Sunday breakfast brunch buffet.

Went to the Merriam location for the all you can eat wings. To start the manager seated is and told us they had coke products. I ordered a coke to drink and it was very flat. Told the manager and she said what I just opened a new 2liter bottle off the shelf. Really, I thought they had a fountain machine! We then ordered the all you can eat wings. There were 3 of us and each of us but into our wings and all of them were full of blood as we were waiting for our waitress to come out the chef was bringing out more wings. We called him over to our table and showed him. We waited for the manager to come over and showed her all our plates of bloody under cooked wings. All she said is do you want to order something else? No apologies at all! When we told her no she then asked if we wanted to order some cheesecake for dessert! I then said are you kidding me when haven’t had any food but, you want to try to sell us some damn cheesecake. We got up and walked out! This was our first and last visit to Hyvee Market Grille! Horrible staff and managers!!!
