Reviews
We had a baby two months back and so cooking at home in the beginning was tough so our friends gave us grubhub as a gift to order food from outside – genius idea!
We were feeling like asian cuisine so gave Qi Dumpling a try! Between the two of us we ordered:
– pot stickers
– garlic noodles
– minced pork with braised eggplant
Pot stickers were really nice and surprisingly not soggy eventhough this is home delivery – we weren’t the biggest fan of the sauce they came with though. Garlic noodles were flavorful, thick and delicious – yummy! I was really excited about the braised eggplant dish but unfortunately it was swimming in oil – major disappointment on this dish, although the pics people have taken at the restaurant itself doesn’t seem to be so oily so would love to actually go there and give it another try!
All in all it was good food, huge portions (we finished everything but overate) and good pricing. Their location is pretty close to everything so kudos!
Price: reasonable, $9 for 6 dumplings. $13-$15 for entrees.
Service: good service.
I got the following dishes:
1. Potstickers: I could tell they were made fresh. The sauce they came with wasn’t very appetizing. the potstickers had more flavor than the sauce.
2. Coconut curry with chicken: this dish is so SPICY. I had tears in my eye from eating it. My boyfriend says that as he kept eating the dish, the spice subsided.
3. Garlic noodles with shredded pork: highly recommended. It has a butter base and taste somewhat sweet but the sweetness isn’t overwhelming at all. This dish made the whole experience better. It has the perfect seasonings on it. Hat off to the chef!
Would I go back: yes but I won’t be getting anything spicy.
