Easily some of the best barbecue I have had in my life. Every piece of meat I saw hit the butcher block was wet.
The brisket was really tender and juicy. Burnt ends was awesome, but the star of the show was the lamb chops with the hot honey, miso glaze! The people were really friendly and everyone wore smiles.
The only drawback is that they are only open to sell barbecue 1 day a week. They need to expand immediately! It was GREAT!!!

After years of procrastination, I finally made it to the
Legendary Gonzo’s BBQ! They’re only open 2 days a week, and yes, the line out the door is very real.
But let me tell you – this BBQ is worth every second of the wait. Perfect smoke ring, melt-in-your-mouth texture, and the flavor that hits different.

BBQ was sold out, so you know it gotta be good. I got 2 tuna tar tar, 2 smoked banana puddings, 2 pasta dishes & some frozen boudin for later. I spent 80$ just on myself and bringing some home to go. Drove 2 hours to visit this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! I’m tempted to drive back tomorrow to get more. If you’re on the fence aboutcoming to this restaurant do yourself a favor and JUST DO IT!

The best brisket burger I’ve had I also had the Cuban and the Jive turkey. All the meat was tender and juicy. I will definitely recommend to anyone who love barbecue and I most definitely will be returning. Nice atmosphere and the cashier was very helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to visit on a Friday!

The food was pretty good! It was fresh & tasty. Had the cheeks, turkey leg, brisket boudin, corn grits & mac n cheese. The presentation was A1 just like the customer service. Can’t wait to go back to try the smash burger.

Visiting from Chicago area and happened to be lucky enough to come during the few hours and day this place was open, and man are we glad we did! Everything is done with so much craftsmanship, and our buddy Robert in the area recommended we do a sampling platter. Our favorites by far were the burnt ends. Best hands down. Honestly everything was delicious. And we got the last of the grits.
Rommel was even kind enough to let us see the smokers in the back, Hilda and Mabel.
For our first meal ever in the state, I’d say it was one to remember. If you can, we highly recommend waiting in line for the amazing smoked meats. Try the homemade banana pudding (if you have room) top notch devine!

This was a great adventure with very very good food had corn grits mac and cheese pork sandwich El jefe. I have a Southwest Texas sauce a Carolina mustard sauce and a mango habanero sauce. All the sauces were very good except for the mango having Euro was not very spicy. Enjoyed a very well done bread pudding which had great cinnamon flavor to it they also kick in a little cup of Blue Bell vanilla ice cream for a topping
