Simple but affective. Unlike a traditional sit-down sushi spot, this is a handroll bar concept. You sit at the counter, which gives you a front-row seat to Chef Opri and the team as they assemble the rolls. It’s modern, efficient, and interactive. The hallmark of a good handroll bar is the nori (seaweed), and Zeppin delivers—it’s imported from Japan and stays incredibly crisp, providing that satisfying “snap” when you take a bite. The Toro Roll: If you want that “melt-in-your-mouth” texture, this fatty tuna roll is the one. It’s clean, buttery, and highlights the quality of their fish. Blue Crab Roll: Packed generously with sweet crab meat and just a light touch of mayo to keep it creamy without being heavy. Set Menus: If it’s your first time, go for one of the 3 to 6-roll set menus. It’s the most cost-effective way to sample the highlights (usually including salmon, yellowtail, and crab).

Handroll by Zeppin is located inside the TAWA Market Hall (Cravings by 99 Ranch) in Eastvale, just south of the 60 at the Cantù-Galleano exit.
I ordered the 6 Handroll Set with Miso Soup and Seaweed Salad ($34), which came with Toro, Bay Scallop, Crab, Salmon, Yellowtail and Lobster. I also added 3 Eel Handrolls ($5.75 each). The miso soup was delicious and I loved the fresh mushrooms in it. The seaweed salad was fresh and they have plenty. The handrolls were delicious, especially the eel (unagi).
The place is clean and they have several chairs around this “bar” style restaurant. The food hall itself has many seating throughout, if you don’t want to dine in front of the staff.
Overall, I loved the quality of the fish and especially loved the miso soup. The service was great and I recommend this to anyone looking for fresh handrolls.

This is very first handroll experience for me, and i really enjoyed it. It was very nice.
I got the 6 piece sets menu and loved every piece. The fish was so fresh and they put such large pieces into the handroll. The star is the Nori which they import from elsewhere and it definetly the best Nori that i ever got. It was crisp. I could definitely taste the difference. Also there fish all taste so fresh and premium!
Service was absolutely friendly and kindness.
I would definitely come back here!

This is the first ever handroll bar in the Eastvale area and the secret…is in their nori (seaweed). Handroll master Eddie told me they use only super premium seaweed that gives their handrolls that extra CRONCH, so when you bite into it, with the fresh fish and perfectly prepared sushi rice…mmmph, TEXTURE FOR DAYS.
And 6 handrolls at a super wallet-friendly price of $30?? Like c’mon, snow crab and lobster that you don’t have to de-shell yourself, and presented to you in these cute handrolls? SOLD 😉
And I love how they alternate between using warm sushi rice with cold fish and cold rice with warm seafood like the lobster…it’s the little details, ya know?

We came on Halloween and were the only customers in the restaurant. I ordered the 4-roll special, but it took about 35 minutes just to get the last roll prepared. My sister and I were planning to share the rolls, hoping they would be served together on a platter, but instead, the chef made them one by one, with 5–10 minutes between each roll. Considering a roll can be eaten in about a minute, the wait was frustrating.
To make things worse, I noticed the chef applying mayonnaise on their gloves and then touching the rice cooker handle, which was concerning from a sanitation standpoint. Overall, it just wasn’t the experience I expected or am used to having at Zeppin Sushi. I would NEVER return.

I left my card after paying on 11/15/25 around 630pm, then came to pick up my lost card in person because they dont have a phone number posted. On 11/16/25, they checked their bin of lost cards and couldnt find mine. They told me to wait 10 minutes and after asking them 20 minutes later, they told me its in the safe. Another 10 minutes later, they tell me the boss took it and will bring it back. I checked my bank statements and i see a charge from arco gas station. These people own dubu tofu house, handroll by zeppin (the location i lost my card), ramen k bar, and zeppin sushi. Be wary of these folks.
