I couldn’t understand why so many bad reviews. As soon as we entered we were greeted by such a beyond kind employee, took us to be seated immediately. We were given complimentory beans with a spicy kick to them, alongside corn chips! Customer service was def above and beyond! I tried there chicken chipotle onelette and it was so, so good! Everything we ordered was delicous, portions were more than adequate. Def the best mexican food I’ve had in the city of Big Bear! Would def recommend to try this spot for authentic mexican food!!

Amazing authentic Mexican food. You will not get this quality of food and hospitality in Big Bear anywhere else! Great options on the menu, El Jefe had amazing sauce which paired well with the bacon and potatoes. Excellent, attentive, and very quick service. Would recommend for any occasion!

Pretty good food, good people, great place away from the village. I’d call this Mexican/American diner fusion. Chicken Fried Steak was perfectly cooked. The gravy has a sweet flavor to it, kinda unique. The French Toast was just as good. Definitely recommended.

The absolute best of the best Mexican food in Big Bear- in all actuality l’d put this place up against anyone in Cali. The best Menudo and ALL caldos anywhere. The Biztek Ranchero is off the chain and hearty with tender tender tender steak and spicy tomato! Wow!!! The chimichanga is huge, delicious and stuffed and spiced to perfection.
This is definitely hands down, the best of the best in Big Bear and surrounding places. You have to try their house made mole sauce too. Geeeze Louise I can’t say enough great stuff about this place. Definitely have to give this place a try and you won’t regret it!

Labeled as authentic Mexican food but, my opinion is they should distinguish what region of Mexico the food is styled after. After ordering, we found out: Guadalajara. Their chorizo con huevos is not traditional Northern style. Instead, they mix the chorizo with the papa’s & cheese, not the eggs. The menudo appears to be a different recipe as well. The food was good, just not how I like it prepared. I even requested the waiter to ensure I would get the chorizo con huevos mixed together but apparently that got lost in translation on the way to the kitchen

I’ve been going to Bigbear for years and this by far is the best breakfast. The food was excellent and servers are so attentive. If you get a chance, please make your way here !!!

Surprisingly good Mexican restaurant for a ski resort town. I got chilaquiles de mole con nopales. There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in LA that don’t have this selection of ingredients. Highly recommend stopping by.

Not coming back, the wait time 1 hour 10 min. Food not good I got mole chilaquiles and they’re more like a tortilla soup. They only have 1 cook and the waitress making mistakes over and over making you wait more for the food. While I was waiting to be seated the waitress made like 5 mistakes plus the ones when I was waiting for my food. If there’s empty tables they’re not sitting you because they can’t catch up with the order because of the 1 cook. Worst $40 dlls wasted ever

STAY AWAY!!! I am writing this review to save any one from a hospital visit. We dinned here on Saturday, ever since then our group has not been ok. We are going through MAJOR FOOD POISONING !!! stomach cramping , diarrhea & vomiting. We are going for 2 days now. My pregnant cousin went into the ER because she could not handle the sever symptoms. My 5 year old niece as well crying from pain & discomfort, poor little one!
Unfortunately, We picked this restaurant off yelp for 4.5 reviews but we think the reviews are fake or bought out. the restaurant was not up to the reviews!! We ordered carne asada burritos, chicken burritos, tortas and bistec ranchero. Group of 6 adults & 2 toddlers.
please select another restaurant & STAY AWAY!!
Save yourself from an ER visit or falling sever ILL like us! Where you can’t keep nothing down, The picture is my cousin receiving ivy liquids to make sure she is hydrated and her baby . PLEASE save your self !!
– Yes like the other reviews mentioned we were charged fees, $2 for putting my toddlers horchata in a plastic kids cup, they had given him a large glass cup. $3 for sharing plates, and 4% charge when paying with card. Plus tip.
