We had dinner here based on freind’s recommendation and it turned out to be a great experience. All dishes we ordered are if good portions and well prepared accordingly to our needs. It’s authentic Chinese food, which looks and tastes great. Service is fast and frequent. Will definitely stop by again next time.

Yue Bai Wei serves up some of the best Chinese food around, and it’s absolutely worth the trip. The cumin beef is the standout — salty, spicy, garlicky, and bursting with flavor. Every bite packs a punch, and it’s the dish I’d recommend most.
Service was fast and genuinely hospitable, which made the experience even better. The only downside was parking — a little tough to find a spot. But honestly, once you’re inside and the food hits the table, you’ll agree it’s more than worth the hassle.
Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Chinese food.

Delicious. Large portions, perfect for sharing (number in party +1). I finally tried bean starch noodles. They were more smooth than I expected and the toppings were full of flavor. Also ordered bok choy, a fried tofu dish, and scallion pancakes. Enough for 3-5 people (depending on appetite).. I felt full but not weighed down.

The tastiest, most authentic Chinese restaurant I’ve been to and surprisingly no wait! I’m happy to say this restaurant has gained a very satisfied regular. Also, shoutout to the server dude – he’s super chill! I will be recommending this restaurant to all my Chinese friends from now on.

A Chinese friend of ours took us here and ordered for us. I don’t speak Mandarin so I don’t know all of what he ordered but it was delicious. We had a chicken dish and the sliced pork belly. We had dumplings, sautéed cabbage, vinegar flavored shredded potatoes, a noodle dish, and a dish of fried fish skewers, which was our favorite! They gave us an order of complimentary fried custard balls. The service was great. Only negative is that the rest room is marked on the door as having a changing station, but there wasn’t one.

The woman who took our order was extremely friendly and suggested what she thought was best on the menu to our group. She even suggested a vegetable dish off menu which was delicious. We ordered chicken dishes, a fish dish that came on skewers and had devilish vegetables, tofu dish, a beef dish and several more. We had such a good experience, I can’t wait to come back!

Popped into Yue Bai Wei Sichuan Restaurant in Squirrel Hill on Forbes Ave for lunch and went with the braised beef soup. The broth was rich, flavorful, and packing just the right Sichuan spice kick (runny nose quality). The only downside? The beef leaned a bit gristly. Still, the menu’s got too many intriguing dishes to ignore, so I’ll definitely be back for another round.

Toufu is good, but not $28 good. Tea smoked duck is $28 very little meat, mostly bone and skin, sea food duo (shrimp and octopus) $38 not worth it, not very fresh, octopus is tough, they refried it, it’s not fresh made. Cumin lamb is good. Overall overpriced for what it is
