Came to this place today for the first time! I’m so glad more Yemeni places are showing up in the bay and it’s open until midnight. We dined in and ordered rose latte, saffron latte and saffron milk cake – all delicious. I customized my coffee and they obliged. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a vibing coffee shop with some delicious treats.

Had the Adeni chai, potato samosa and saffron milk cake. Samosa and milk cake were okayish, but the chai was very good. Contrary to other Yemeni coffee shops across the bay area which serve you ready made chai, here they brew fresh tea in front of you. Chai tastes strong and not watery unlike the readymade ones in other places.

Nice spot on Arabian way!
We tried the iced chocolate, the chocolate croissant and the spinach with feta cheese. The croissant was delicious, but the spinach one could use a bit more cheese.
Staff were super kind and helpful, and the place has a cozy vibe with lots of games and books to enjoy.
Only downside: no parking available.

Definitely a late night craving for Yemeni adeni chai that brought us here! The vibe is amazing, the drinks were really good, 10 stars seriously but the food would.have gotten the same but it just wasnt not heated well (kunafa cheese was cold) Staff was trying their best and super nice. Seating is plenty and super clean!

This is one of my favorite coffee shops. I prefer sweeter coffee, and the flavors here are unique and right up my alley — the banana and matcha drinks are both really good. The shop is spacious, bright, clean, and comfortable, and I like coming here to work since it’s usually pretty quiet.

Milyar Cafe – Student Study Review Location: 1098 Monroe St, Santa Clara, CA 95050

Overall Rating for Studying: [8.5/10]
Best For: Group Projects, Casual Study place, and late night study

The Study Scorecard
Noise Level: Pretty loud, bring headphones or earbuds if you are solo, but great for a group environment
Wi-Fi: It is very fast, but has problems connecting to certain sites like khan academy. Using a VPN did the trick though

Network: Milyar 5.0
Password: Yemenicoffee

Outlet Availability: Many outlets. They will be along the wall and on the pillars of the building

Seating Comfort: The seating was excellent. Extremely comfy chairs with lots of cushioning.

Table Availability: The table sizes are perfect for 2 people. Many others looked comfortable with 4 people at one table.

“Camp-Friendliness”: Stayed there for over 6 hours without feeling any pressure to leave.

Amenities & Logistics

Parking: There seems to be a good amount of street parking and there is a general parking lot near by

Bathrooms: The bathroom is clean and bright. It also has a bum gun for extra personal hygiene.

Hours: 8am – 12 at midnight. Great for late studying.

Extras: Free water refill station and loads of board games to play

Vibe, Food & Drinks

Vibe: Nice decor, Bright interior, and professional staff

Price: Mid range, not the cheapest, not expensive either.

What I Got:

Yemeni Tea:
Price: $5.51 w/ Tax
Review: 10/10. Strong flavor, strong flavorful aroma, loads of caffeine. Great drink to take before doing work

Chicken Fatayer:
Price: $7.17 w/ Tax
Review: 4/10. I really wanted to like it, tasted like quality ingredients, but there was absolutely no flavor in it.

Final Verdict
Overall, Milyar cafe has a great studying environment, with late hours, good seating, fast wifi, and an atmosphere that is more geared towards collaborative work sessions rather than one alone. Nevertheless, It’s still a great place to study by oneself, has strong caffeinated drinks, and seating which dosen’t get uncomfortable. Would come here and study again.

Amazing atmosphere, and I must say that they probably have the best bathroom I’ve ever seen in a public place. Bidet, air fresheners, personal sink, you name it.

I like the Just Peachy drink, and although generally their coffee isn’t the greatest, in terms of atmosphere this place is great. Very good and central location as well.

Stopped by this cafe this morning and had such a nice experience.
The girl working there with dark eyes and straight hair had a beautiful smile and was super sweet and welcoming. She recommended the pistachio latte, and wow it was honestly so good and full of flavor.

Her warm, friendly energy really made my morning.
Definitely coming back
both for the drinks and the great service. Next time I’m trying their special tea

Highly recommend this place

Can I give 100 stars for this place? My comfort zone and my second home! Sitting here currently, working, enjoying the beautiful Arabic music and songs! Just wow 🙂 I love their chocolate croissant, wraps, coffee, matcha, everything! The girls working here are professional and friendly!

Please keep this place as vibrant, calm, peaceful, and beautiful the way it is 🙂 and plz if you add some healthy items to the menu like fresh fruits or egg and brown toast!

Thanks,
Hend

We decided to stop by this pretty cafe upon passing it to go to Santana Row. It looked beautiful from the outside! It’s absolutely gorgeous on the inside as well. However, upon walking in, the woman in the front gave us an upset look. She didn’t welcome us, nor say anything. When I ordered my caramel macchiato, she said “hot or iced?” quickly and quietly. I didn’t hear her, so I said “hm?” But she did not respond. I placed my order at 10:20, went to the restroom, hung out around the place, walked outside… and our drinks were not ready (only ordered two drinks and there was only one customer that was before us). The woman kept looking at me here and there, still not saying anything, giving me a weird look. Twenty minutes passed and our drinks were still not ready. I saw that the woman just gave the other customers their drinks that came in after us… I told my husband that I wanted to ask for a refund and just leave, but he saw that the other worker was finishing up our drinks. This other worker gave us our drinks and did say “sorry for the wait,” which I appreciate. However, if this other worker wasn’t there, I don’t know if I would’ve ever gotten my drink… anyways, 25 minutes later, we finally got our drinks. They were good (nothing super special), but we are never returning, nor ever recommending this place due to the poor service.
Really wished I had a better experience. The atmosphere and ambience was very nice.
