Joyspot – Hotpot & Grill was a overall good dining experience. I tried both the grill and the hot pot, and even though I’m not the most adventurous eater, I was impressed by the huge variety of options.

There were plenty of meats — chicken, beef, lamb — prepared in different styles, from marinated cuts to frozen selections ready for the hot pot. The seafood selection looked extremely extensive as well, though I didn’t try it this time. I will know that some of the vegetable options were not that expensive and some of the ramen presented did look a bit cheap. However there were many sauces and seasoning options so I felt that it was good.

I chose a Pho‑style hot pot, which was flavorful and comforting, and the grill was just as satisfying. The environment was relaxed with many customers thoroughly enjoying the menu fare.

I paid $42 which may be a little bit pricey for what I was actually eating but the overall experience as I said was good and I felt that many customers there were enjoying the mail and for taking a lot of the food that was there.

Not impressed. Service was terrible. Super over price for ramen. Store bought 45 cent ramen at that.. tables were broken and dirty/greasy. meat has so much fat that it wouldn’t render out with cooking. Definitely not worth 126 for lunch!!! Won’t be back.
Responding to owner- there is absolutely no way I would come try it again with those prices. And if you actually looked at the review and pictures you would see the copy of the receipt for date time etc… I don’t appreciate a canned response

Very fun experience and good food, however the hotpot offerings were not as vast as id like, such as more veggie choices, but the grill add on is totally worth it

We went to Joy Spot Hot Pot and Grill and had a 5 star experience! Everything was fresh, well marinated, and delicious. Our server was kind. We had a wonderful time, and will definitely be coming back!

We went 02/14/26 at about 2:00. It was not very busy and we made a reservation the day before anyway. Our server was amazing, he explained everything to us and helped us and was really nice. The food was phenomenal and fresh. We really enjoyed the experience and the food. It is a bit on the pricey side, but for what we paid we could have gotten more food, we just didn’t because we are newbies to the hot pot gig. Will definitely be back again. It was my husband myself and a 3 year old. Our 3 year old is your average 3 year old, but she seemed to enjoy the experience and time too. They brought her food out first. It was like rice, a piece of tempura shrimp and some other stuff. The rice was shaped like a duck. I think I liked that more than she did lol. We did the broth and grill. Im glad Abilene has a place like this that’s different from Mexican food and burgers.

The hotpot restaurant has a unique style, with food lines offering a wide variety of meats, fresh and plentiful vegetables, and very fresh and appealing seafood. The desserts are also delicious. There are many broth options to choose from, and Tonkotsu is very tasty, naturally sweet, and rich in flavor. The staff are lovely and enthusiastic in their service.

A very spot to enjoy hotpot. The tomyum broth is really good. I am Vietnamese so I was looking for fish sauce as dipping sauce. But it’s understandable for the location that they don’t provide it because not a lot of people is familiar with hotpot. Service is great. Staff is nice and drinks are good as well.

I took my mom for her bday lunch. To our surprise they now have the pho hot pot added to their menu. It was good and so refreshing to eat. I left satisfied and full. So worth the money spent. Plus our waiter was very sweet and informed us of the new addition and his excitement on it as well. Last time we had the new added drinks Thai Tea Boba is was good.

So much fun! We’ve been here twice. We got the hotpot (soup) both times, but you can also grill from a hot plate in the middle of your table. I’ve tried the miso broth and the shiitake mushroom broth. Both were delicious and comforting. The mushroom is more delicate; the miso is saltier.

I love watching the conveyer belts curve throughout the space, with a varied selection of noodles and vegetables. Seafood and meat are at the back.

Both times I made vegetarian soups, but there are SO many choices – both with vegetables and with fish and meat selections. My hubby enjoys the meat and seafood, and makes two trips. I like piling my hotpot high the first time and eating from that.

Vegetables have seasonal choices. For Fall, I enjoyed making a soup of root vegetables, including pumpkin, taro root, and lotus root.

For me, I love it because you can eat a healthy selection and still feel full.

Dessert is included – they even have ice cream!

Edit: One year later and I still really like this place. There are wonderful vegetarian options…more vegetarian broths. I’m able to eat healthy here and still feel full. I pile up the veggies in the broth and eat through the soup pot. This is a great place to visit for my 2026 New Year’s resolution to eat healthier on a more regular basis!!

The place was very clean and organized I loved the conveyor belt with the fresh veggies and noodles. Everything tasted great and our server was the best! Even made us a really good sauce to try. The hot pot and Korean bbq was great, perfect amount of soup. I love that they offer Pho as a soup base. The ice cream and fresh fruit was a plus! Would definitely be coming back.
