This is a late review but my 3-year-old daughter and I went in early June. My daughter had a good time, there was plenty to do in there, and the Ice Cream, Chicken and Brie Sandwich, and Quesadilla were delicious. The staff was friendly and the place was relatively clean. I do wish there was some natural light from windows in there, but not a deal breaker. If we lived closer we would visit again for sure, unfortunately, we are up in Cedar Park and just drove down to check it out!

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice our experience was at Almost Grown Cafe. Visiting with both our baby and toddler felt easy and enjoyable. Our toddler had a great time—the toys were abundant and thoughtfully set up, and the space felt calm rather than chaotic. There weren’t too many children at once, which made a big difference and allowed her to really enjoy herself.

The food wasn’t anything super spectacular, but we came more for the play experience for our daughter, and in that regard, it really delivered. The setup is beautiful, well-organized, and clearly designed with families in mind.

Overall, it was a really pleasant experience and somewhere we’d happily return. I’d give it a solid 4.5 to 5 stars, and highly recommend it—especially on days when the weather isn’t great and you need a calm, indoor option for kids.

We recently had my child’s birthday party at Almost Grown Cafe, and it was amazing! They offer wonderful service tailored to you and your needs for party planning. The food was great and the safe play area for the kids was awesome. I have been there with my child for lunch as well and it is also a fun time for parents and kids. The cafe is a gem to have in our community!

We held my daughter’s 3rd birthday here, and it was perfect! My daughter and her friends played on everything the whole time, and we were able to set up early and had help with clean up. We were able to bring our own food and drinks, which the kids barely touched because they were having so much fun! I highly recommend this place.

LOVE THIS PLACE! We will definitely be back & are hoping to plan future parties here! The staff were ALL so kind & extremely helpful. It was somehow still a chill environment even with like 20 kids running around ? I believe this due to the helpful staff & all adults sitting around with a sense of peace that there’s nothing bad their kid could get into, because it’s all there for them! They have wondering additions to the play area like a monkey bar tree, an indoor slide, many Montessori toys, play kayaks, kitchen area, grocery store area, ems/doctor/nurse/mechanic/firefighter costumes & props, SO MUCH for your little to do here I wouldn’t even be able to name it all! The staff also come in every two hours or so to “reset” all the toys & sanitize chairs/tables/toys/etc. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! You can go knowing they care about everyone’s safety.
I did rate food 4/5 & this is only due to the GRILLED SANDWICHES we received! We think the produce or another ingredient was actually expired because it made us feel a bit sick, BUT their fruit cups are SO fresh & they have a wide variety of snacks for you or your littles! Even organic stuffs! We unfortunately didn’t get to try the ice cream because baby got sleepy before we were able to. I’m sure it is awesome, just like their staff though! I’m excited to come back & try more things!! Especially coffee!
ALSO, the decor in & outside is absolutely adorable. It has such a peaceful, fun vibe to the entire cafe & play areas.

Had such a blast here! Able to get the kids out of the house for a few hours. Great place for them to get out their energy. Love that it has a cafe so we can eat, tables so I can work, and different options for the kids to explore.

We recently held our daughter’s birthday party at Almost Grown Play Cafe and it was one of the easiest and most pleasant parties we have had! Nicole was extremely helpful in our party planning and eased my worries as we drew near the party date. The owner Sara is super nice and accommodating. I recommend Almost Grown as a great place for your kids to play in a manageable experience and for hosting parties!

This was a great place to take my toddler girl twins! It’s contained and has different themed toys. Also best part for parents – there’s an ice cream/coffee shop attached which serves some amazing sandwiches too! Although it’s further than our usual places, it’s a great place to spend a few hours with the kids able to free play!

It saddens me to leave this review but my hope is bring attention to owners and warn other parents of potential issues/hazards.
1. The amount of older kids (6+) was kind of shocking. Them running around and rough housing is a hazard to smaller kiddos trying to play or explore. I wish they would have designated play times for older children so younger ones had a safer play environment.
2. It’s clear this is where parents come to dump their kids while they scroll on their phones. I understand this is a great solution for a working parent to have their children play while they work however completely ignoring or not paying attention to your child creates another issue of poor behavior and huge safety concerns.
3. Staff sat on their phones or computers the entire time. I feel like they should enforce some rules such as not standing on the slide and rocking it back and forth or going down backwards and jumping off treehouse latter. Everything appears as as it could topple over. Also unattended or problematic children’s parents should be approached, warnings issued, etc.
4. I called ahead to see what their cleaning procedures are but boy was this place DIRTY.
the food was fine. I’m so bummed but we will probably not be back as it seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Edit ** called after my card was over charged to be met by an upset owner about my “scathing review.” Some people would rather just be right than read the other low star reviews that echo my same sentiments and make improvements. So add combative owner to the list lol.
