Shawnniecakes is a family-owned business with delicious cookies, cakes, other yummy sweet treats and meals. Our staff bakes and cooks with recipes that have been in our family for generations. The Love Sampler platter is amazing! That’s all I ordered, but there were a lot of other options. The greens were seasoned perfectly and cooked just right, the mac and cheese was delicious, the chicken wings are not overly seasoned- they’re plain but cooked thoroughly and so good. The stuffing was dry, and I don’t like sweet potatoes but I tried them and if you do like sweet potatoes, you’d like these ones for sure. $15 for the Love Sampler- not bad. I’ll definitely return! The only real issue is the atmosphere. The store is tidy and cute butI wish they had a place to sit, you gotta go eat in the bank chairs and I felt too awkward doing that so I asked for it to-go and ate in my car in the parking lot. I hope they can expand soon for a better dine in experience so I can bring my whole family! Support local!!

I ordered a large delivery order for a work event. Everyone was extremely impressed with the spread. And they all raved about how everything was so fresh and delicious. From the sandwiches, mac and cheese, to fruit salad. Shawniecakes really outdid themselves. They provide wonderful service, prompt delivery and of course the food was out of this world. I would highly recommend.

She was excellent, and was kind enough to let me pickup early. The cupcakes? Absolutely perfect for my daughter’s birthday party! Smelled delicious, looked delicious, and tasted delicious! My daughter squealed when she saw them, they fit her vision perfectly. I highly recommend!

Philly steaks are the BEST! The meat was juicy and flavorful. They were generously sized. Wings were fall off the bone good and delicious. Sweet potato fries were also delicious and came with marshmallow dipping sauce. Friendly service and went out of her way to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Highly recommend Shawniecakes!!!

Shawnniecakes is amazing! The food was so delicious. I hesitate to order bacon at places, in fear that it will be floppy or undone. This bacon on my breakfast croissant was PERFECTION! Crispy, thick and so flavorful. And so much of it!! Along with the tots, it was the best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The mocha latte was fantastic as well! I left with a smile on my face after interacting with Shawnnie. She was funny, down to earth and professional. I can’t wait to go back!

Finally found it today! She is inside the Collins Credit Union Building. The chicken salad croissant was one of the best ever. Add a cashew and a grape and it would take the record! Hubs said the Mac and cheese was great. Cheesy and a larger portion than he expected. Too full to try my cupcake!! The location was a bit odd at first but there’s a couple of tables set up at the end of the lobby and the guy from the back came and turned in the fireplace for us! Service was top notch! Im going to call ahead for pick up next time but there will def be a next time!

I can only comment on the food because my husband surprised me at work with a chicken sandwich from here but my husband said the owner was fantastic and everything in there looked amazing! He said the staff and owner were incredibly friendly and helpful! The chicken salad sandwich that I had was one of the best I have had here in Cedar Rapids. In fact, pretty much anywhere! We didn’t get a chance to try the chicken Caesar sandwich but you better believe we will be back and I will get to try it! My 6 yr old also apparently had the same sandwich as I did today (he doesn’t normally eat a lot) and he finished the WHOLE sandwich! Give them a try! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Stopped at Shawnniecakes today and got a breakfast bowl with bacon and my daughter got the one with turkey and it was so delicious! Literally the best breakfast bowl I’ve ever had! Also if you’ve never tried the Philly here you need to! The meat goes on forever! This place has the best food and vibe in all of CR! You have to try it!
