I work in luxury. I expect perfection. When this place opened I was so excited to have a sushi spot close to me. It’s my little heaven of food when I don’t feel like cooking. It’s the neighborhood sushi spot to go to. I’m there about twice a month sometimes more. They do it right. I eat like a queen so my plate looks like for two, lol. Prices are great. Friendly staff. The only spot I go in the neighborhood. Trust me, I’m very picky and wouldn’t give my personal recommendation or review if it’s just ok. I need it to be great. So enjoy it!

The sushi and sake were great—fresh fish, beautiful presentation, and overall good quality. The sake was served nicely in a ceramic set, which added to the experience. However, the steak was disappointing. It was served cold, almost like a salad, and not hot as expected. For the price, I was hoping for better consistency. The atmosphere and service were still good, but the steak definitely needs improvement.

The food is so fresh and tasty! Started with shrimp tempura and found the coating light and cooked to crunchy perfection. The warm miso soup was a perfect compliment, warm and flavorful. I was ready for my sashimi and was so pleased with not only the presentation but also the freshness and portions. Bluefish, I will be back!

The freshest fish, the most perfect rice and service to die for. Blue fish is the single finest sushi spot in Arlington VA. Don’t overlook the cooked food but definitely show up for the Sushi and Sashimi. Sashimi Combo B is my go to. Eat here, forget about your kitchen.

Everything was absolutely wonderful — the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Having a parking garage made things super convenient, and the walk from the garage to the restaurant was short and easy. The food was incredibly fresh and clean, beautifully plated, and picture-perfect for photos. And the desserts? Stunning and delicious! Highly recommend this place!

Some of the best sushi I’ve had as far as I can remember. Everything was fresh and delicious, and presented beautifully. The jalapeno boom appetizer was an unexpected favorite! With sashimi, typically tuna is my favorite, but I was in love with the salmon and albacore tonight. We got a couple appetizers and each the Bluefish Supreme and were stuffed. Small and cozy experience, I would highly recommend and would come again if I’m in the Arlington area. Thank you for a memorable birthday dinner. ♥️

The food was top quality and quite reasonably priced. My salmon bento box was so much food! so nice to have left overs, I took half of it home – it came with rice, salad and miso too. Excellent deal! Husband had Sushi combo B plus a tuna avocado roll. Sushi and fish all very fresh, and quick, attentive & thoughtful service – we can’t wait to come back.

Amazing food + amazing service. This place is a gem. We frequent here especially during Lent season (Fridays). I have never had any issues with the quality of fish and I love raw rolls. You can tell they have passion and professionalism in everything they do. I love bringing new people here, they all love it! This is probably my favorite sushi restaurant in all of dmv.
