If you like no frills good food inside a bit of history and a mini vendor shopping trip or just 1 of those 3, this is your place. We had the caprese salad, chicken sandwich, BLT and meatloaf. All were good. If you’re not a super saucy person, ask for light. Very friendly staff, comfortable vibe!

We stopped in for lunch on a whim, and were happy with the decision!
We had the fried pickles, smothered chicken sandwich with waffle fries, and the Cajun chicken macaroni bowl.
All were cooked fresh to order and the flavors were great! There was a little too much seasoning on the Cajun chicken bowl for me, but that’s just personal preference.
We’ll definitely be back, and hope to try the breakfast too!

I had the BLT with a locally grown heirloom tomato which was the best tomato I’ve had in years. My sister had the meatloaf sandwich and waffle fries which she also much enjoyed. I also enjoyed a Blood Orange IPA brewed in Belmont, NC which was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll definitely be returning to try other offerings. As a local I hope everyone will support this as a local, quality, competitively priced restaurant. This is a great place and this is the food you want for our community. There’s plenty of free parking in the area.

This place is so much more than a Southern Sandwich Shop! The food is ridiculously delicious!! You have to get the deviled eggs! They are life changing! We got the fried pickles, so good! I got the fried chicken sandwich and potato salad, ridiculous! My husband got the meatloaf and cheddar n broccoli soup. I am not a meatloaf person, and I loved it! We tried the chocolate cake and the cheesecake! Everything was amazing and made in house! They have a bunch of little stands with local vendors’ goods! They have board games to play while you wait for food, a beautiful lawn seating area. The staff were all amazing! So personable and sweet! I can’t wait to go back!

This is the first time that we visit Dallas NC. This restaurant has a unique location and decoration. Modern, clean while has some vintage style. We are very impressed by the associates’ working attitudes here. They look warmth and energetic. Felicia is the best:) She is so friendly and recommended a dish to us. I have to say, this is one of the best chicken dish that I ever have. I forgot the name. Hopefully you can recognize the name by picture. And the side dishes are great as well. potato salad is good, the mac and cheese is good. everything is perfect. we finished all of the food except fried pickle: they are too salty to us. But it was crunchy and nice to try as a southern appetizer. all in all, this is a very good restaurant. You won’t regret to dine here. The price is great as well: they push for a 18% tip. 🙂 very respectful and casual atmosphere.

Such a charming spot with absolutely delicious food! The service was great too; it was an all around great experience. Fans of grilled cheese have to try their Southern grilled cheese sandwich with pimento cheese, bacon, and tomato. The waffle fries are some of the best around too!

Went for the Valentine’s Day date night special. Food was excellent. Samantha our server and really the entire staff was super attentive. Kinda a shabby chic atmosphere. Nice little shop at the front. The dishes in the picture are the Southern Smoothered Chicken with Loaded Crispy Potatoes s and Buttermilk Fried Chicken with Waffle Fries and Cheesecake. Great alternative to fast food or normal Gaston County fare. Check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Took a chance to eat somewhere different on a trip. Stopped here for a late lunch. I had the FP&P and my wife had the Dallas Burger both with seasoned waffle fries. The fries were great with just a little heat. The burger was juicy and the pickles paired great with the Dallas Sauce. The creole marinated fried chicken with the pickles and Dallas Sauce on the FP&P was delicious. When we stop again I am definitely trying their fried chicken, as this fried chicken sandwich was one of the juiciest and crispiest I have had. I highly recommend eating here.

Chill southern environment. The food was spectacular and only overshadowed by the hospitality. I had the smothered chicken sandwich and the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had. I will only warn don’t com here on a diet, this ain’t that. As soon as you walk up you are greeted by a wonderful hostess that make you feel welcome. Then the food comes out in a very timely manner and it is was amazing. Thick applewood smoked bacon, pimento cheese, and fried chicken that harkens to your grandmother.

The Dallas burger was very tasty, juicy, fresh! Highlight the pickles were like my grandma made them. Potato salad was light and delicious. Eat here, you won’t be disappointed.
