This diner is my family’s go to when in the area!! The burgers, chicken tenders, fried mustrooms and fries are all delicious! They have a great variety to choose from on their menu too. This place gives us that hometown diner feel we love and enjoy so much. The owners are amazing people too. They really care about the quality of food and service they offer and it really shows. Thanks for the amazing food and great service! Already looking forward to our next visit!

Stopped in at The Springs and had a great meal. The breaded pork tenderloin sandwich was huge, crispy, and seasoned well, paired with fried mushrooms that were golden and crunchy. Also tried the fried okra, which came out hot and perfectly crisp, especially good with a side of ranch. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and the food had that comforting, homestyle quality. Definitely a solid spot to grab a hearty bite in Excelsior Springs.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. Our waitress, Kenzie, was amazing—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal.
As a family of six, we were really impressed by how affordable everything was. The portions were generous, and we definitely didn’t leave hungry! Every dish we tried was delicious! And don’t even get me started on the desserts—they were made perfectly and a huge hit with both the kids and adults.
Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great food, outstanding service, and excellent value. We’ll definitely be back!

What a delightful gem we found while visiting The Elms in excelsior springs. The Springs USA wonderful dinner that will take you back to an era gone by. The food portions were generous and amazingly delicious! Along with the traditional cafe coffee, tea, and soda, The Springs offers beer and a surprisingly nice selection of local wines.. The service was excellent, with a lot of smiles and attention to anticipated wants or needs. Most surprising was the level of elegance. For example, our beverages were served in heavy cut glass and the flatware was wrapped in cloth napkins. Not something you’ll find in many local cafes. When you enter the restaurant you’re met with a case filled with at least a dozen different homemade pies. We brought home three different ones: peanut butter chocolate, blackberry, and lemon merengue. The next time we travel to Excelsior Springs, we’ll stop at The Springs and I’ll get another three pieces of pie. I I was taken back to a simpler time. I loved it!

Typical small town diner/restaurant. Small menu, which is good. They just need more seasoning in their food. The breakfast potatoes are quite good. I imagine as it grows it will get better. UPDATE: AND IT HAS! Expanded menu, including pancakes made from scratch. Three hot sauces to choose from for your potatoes or eggs etc. The desert case looks delicious as well.

Anyone who has lived long in ES remembers this place before it was the Springs and let me just say it’s a very different place. (Not that I was a hater of the Mill Inn but yeah, if you know you know). It is really nicely renovated and updated. I’ve been twice now and both food and service were great.. Today we went with a large group and they were able to accommodate us even being really busy on a Saturday and Valentines Day (we had a reservation). Definitely will be back and would recommend!

Service is good but the food is as basic cafeteria as it gets. Not very good. Not terrible but to go out of the house and pay almost 20$ no cheese onions peppers..nothing..this is pretty pathetic. Excelsior Springs needs a restaurant like this. I really hope they put more effort into making a little beter food.

If you’re looking for a welcoming environment, good food, and amazing customer service this is the place to go! I absolutely LOVE going here for any meal of the day, but especially dinner… their steak is to die for! This restaurant is so clean and well kept, the customer service is on point and the prices for each meal are great, especially for the amount you get served. Hands down, I would go here over and over again out of all the other options in town. The Springs Restaurant has such a nice menu to choose from too, which helps when your date can’t make up their mind on where to eat, so you go here and are guaranteed a satisfactory meal!

I didn’t take pics of the food but should have. Too eager to dig in! We’ve been to The Springs a couple of times now, breakfast and dinner and was extremely satisfied with both. If you remember when the restaurant was named Mill Inn and compared it to the current The Springs, the difference is night and day. It was a well thought out, beautiful and clean renovation. If you’re looking for comfort food, go to The Springs. They’re very friendly, provide great service, and they serve great, reasonably priced food in a clean, newly remodeled building. Go support a local restaurant so they stick around for a long time. We need good restaurants in this town.
Tonight we ordered the chicken fried chicken dinner and the tenderloin dinner. We couldn’t decide which was best because they were both excellent. Im going to have the other half for lunch tomorrow.

This place has a delicious chicken salad that I order every time I go. I used to also get an order of fries with it, but for some reason, when I ask them to make the fries extra crispy/well-done, they can’t seem to make it happen. That is disappointing bc the first time I ever ordered it they were perfect. If they could get the fries super crispy, I would give it 5 stars. Definitely recommend
