There are many great burger joints but few have stood the (taste) test of time like Latham’s Hamburger Inn. Despite being located in a small town, the eatery has endured through the decades. Open for about 90 years, Latham’s Hamburger Inn has been in this location since 1974. It was then that they moved from across the street, enclosing a former alley. And it’s not only a local favorite. Latham’s Hamburger Inn has been featured on the Travel Channel’s popular show, Burger Land, and in George Motz’s best-selling book Hamburger America. Since opening it’s received countless accolades, including its most recent – being dubbed the state’s best hole-in-the-wall burger joint.

I’ve waited fifteen years to eat here again. Came from Hawaii for this. Hours have been challenging, but now I think it is 10:00-2:00 Tuesday – Saturday (I think). This place is legendary. Not fancy, but definitely a bucket list kind of place.

Really good little (very) burger joint. I went in and sat down at the bar and waited on the waitress to come down well it became apparent that she wasn’t come down to wait on me so I went down to the cash register and place my order for a smash cheese burger and a fried egg sandwich with water to drink. I went back and sat at the bar waiting on my food, which didn’t take too long. When the waitress dropped my food off she goes your water is in the cooler by the register like i should habe know that well i would’ve know if she had told me when i was up at the register ordering. The smash burger was really good but the fried egg sandwich stole the show it was fantastic.

Beautiful restaurant – the brick walls are particularly pretty. There are vintage items, like farm implements, displayed on the walls. I and my friend agreed that these were the best burgers we have ever had. I had 1 with lettuce, and my friend had the smashburger – fries were excellent as well. Friendly servers and prompt service.

Coolest little CASH Only burger bar. Been there forever and features Dough burgers. Basically just some bread mixed in with smash burgers. All beef available as well. Fries have good spice but the burgers, with barstools and bottled cokes and 3 Bs that make this cool little sliver of a spot worth a special stop. Just bring cash tho!!

The atmosphere is good for a hamburger dive. The dough burger was straight outta the grease, but hey, it was very greasy and not much taste. And the night after, 0100 CDT, I felt it. Well, you can assume where I had to go. Service was good, but if they ask you what you want on your dough burger as in what way it normally comes, mustard, pickle, & onion, you’d expect some mustard. But, no, only pickles & onions. Still up for debate for a return trip.
