We went about two weeks ago for burgers/sandwiches and they were so delicious. Everything is truly from scratch and you can tell! So we came back for the prime rib on a Saturday night and we were not disappointed! Some of the best prime rib we’ve had in this area. Perfectly cooked, great flavor. Service was great and very fast too!

Stopped in for a late lunch, the very friendly host greeted us and sat us at a booth, our chef Dave came out and greeted us as well and informed us we were a bit early for the restaurant side but had No problem serving us, he let us know of a few things that wouldn’t be available as they were for dinner time, all was good. The host jumped right in to be our server and she was great, food was amazing, Dave checked on us multiple times and surprised my niece and nephew with a plate of fresh chocolate chip cookies, they were a bit shy but supper excited as soon as Dave stepped away. Very kind folks, made us feel like we were in our home town. Thank you Dave and Host, you guys made our stop perfect.

We were greeted when we arrived by Dave himself. The bartender was very personable and fun, enjoyed the mojitos and old fashioned. The dining room was comfortable and warm. We had the calimari appetizer, which came with a nice homemade aoli. For dinner, we had fish fry of walleye and cod, both lightly battered and crispy, with delicious loaded baked potatoes and fries. The tartar sauce was also homemade and some of the best I have had. Dave the owner and chef checked on us during dinner also. Overall a great experience. Would highly recommend

The fish was not cooked. Dave said it was and it was watery and cold inside. The server was not nice rolled her eyes. Do not come here. We had to fight to get Dave to come out and talk to him. He told us it was cooked through and it was a high quality fish. That may be so but you have to know how to cook it.

Last night I called at 8:42. Online it says Sunday open till 10 pm. I Ordered two prime rib dinners one of them with a side of 3 shrimp (extra $10) and a wedge salad with ranch (extra $5) the other with a side salad with honey mustard. We also ordered onion rings for an appetizer and a kids chicken strips with fries. The guy on the phone said it would take 15 minutes. I waited about five minutes and then left. I was only 3 mins from the restaurant.
When I got there the food was done and bagged. I gave the young man at the counter my card. When he went to swipe my card he said there was already another order in progress. So he went and got the manager who then came to help. The manager pushed a few buttons and said try that and then walked away. The young kid tried swiping my card again didn’t work. He went back to get the manager who once again walked back this time he decided to turn the computer off and back on. The computer turns back on, and it looks like the guy is getting ready to swipe my card when a woman co-worker walks over and asks if he has her lighter or a lighter so she can go smoke a cigarette. And i’m thinking you couldn’t wait till I left now, i’m waiting for the guy who is supposed to be checking me out to find a lighter in his pocket for this lady. After that he swipes my card it finally works! I signed the receipt and walk out. ( I will say the young man was apologetic every time he walked to go find his manager to help)
I get home empty the bags. Eager to eat before the food gets cold. As i’m emptying the bags, I realize that neither mine or my boyfriend’s salad is in the bags. My boyfriend calls and when they answered the phone they say “sorry were closed.” He explains that his girlfriend was just there picking up food and that we didn’t get our salads. The guy on the phone says hold on and he will get the manager. My boyfriend then explains again what happened then he
says hold on and manager Starts to yell at the employees asking why the salads were not bagged. The manager gets back on the phone and asks do you want us to make the salads otherwise next time we are there we can get $10 off our order. We said we don’t live far away that will drive back for the salads. Considering we had already paid and it was already $5 extra for the wedge salad.
I get back in my vehicle and drive there right away. When I get there, he has the one salad ready and explains that they are out of wedge salads. I said the regular side salad would be fine. He goes back makes the side salad Then comes back hands it to me. And says next time that we’re there. We can still get $10 dollars off our order which was very nice.
I once again get back in my vehicle and drive back to my boyfriends. I sit down, take the salads out, and we realized we didn’t get ranch, which fine, whatever we had ranch in the fridge. But after all, that, it was very frustrating to say the least and at that point our food was ice cold.
People have bad days and things happen we will give this place one more chance. I don’t like writing bad reviews. Hopefully next time we go back we have a better experience.
