Delicious, pulled pork, on French fries, smothered in homeaid sauce, also comes with jalapeños, fried onions and sour cream,( I had that held off) around $5 great price, hugh portion, find this place, it’s worth it! Also, they do ribs on Friday.

For Easter, our family (my grandfather) ordered us brisket , chopped, for sandwiches.

We were served rare, sliced, at least 1/2 fat, tri tip.

After calling and complaining, the owner called me. He was immediately defensive.

He told me on the phone that they have never sold brisket. He told me that it was not cooked all the way because he was under the impression that we were eating it Sunday & that we were supposed to “finish it out” on our own.

What you see in the photograph (5 lbs) was $90

It is now Ranger Express, with a new reliable menu of very good BBQ, burgers, sides, and the always scrumdilly biscuits and gravy!

Very friendly and welcoming “hole in the wall” sort of place. My boyfriend and I stopped in off I40 looking for some BBQ and we were so pleased with our experience. We ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches and they were delicious! Great prices, great service, and great food.

It is a great little place for a quick meal and they have some good barbecue. The Clark special is worth getting and you can’t go wrong with it. The people are friendly and it’s always clean. They used to have it in a trailer or food truck but they have moved it inside the grocery store now and you can get it at the deli now.

People are nice.. Don’t buy the cooked food… Lunch meat in deli is good though… Not a big selection on drinks and snacks but still the people are nice the gas is always reasonably priced… As long as you tell them your FILLING up and they know ya or your a regular they will let ya….

The meat is not cooked and ready to eat. The owner says he explains this but he didn’t and there is nothing on the packing saying you need to cook your meat. We order five pds of brisket which they said they only have tri-tip. We order shredded or chopped and received sliced. Each slice was mostly fat. This was a shock if it was tri-tip and it still needed to be cooked. We sat down to eat and had uncooked expensive meat. I highly recommend Smokey B’s in Van Buren or JCs in Van Buren.

there is a coffee shack there now, the Slab is gone. I ate there 1 time about a month or so after they opened. 1 person before me it took about 8 minutes to get my burger. they poured the fries into the carry out box before my burger hit the grill. needless to say by the time I got my food the fries were cold. burger was tasty, nothing special though. at 6 bucks a pop with no beverage it wasn’t exactly a deal but had that mound of fries been hot I would have gone back again. it was a concessions trailer so they may have just moved to a busier location.
UPDATE- I have been told the Slab is now located at McKinley’s which is about 3/4 a mile further up Roland road.
UPDATE- Yes the Slab is now located at what used to be McKinley’s. No burgers during winter months just BBQ and you get it inside the store.

I ordered a BBQ burger. It was the smallest I’ve ever seen. Even smaller than White Castle. Also there were three employees there and one other customer. I was the only one wearing a mask. I’ll never go back.
