Great steak and potatoes! Was pleasantly surprised a small town bar had great meal options. Steak, prime rib, and shrimp. Our server was so nice and did a great job even through she had 7 tables to manage. Dont let the “bar” fool you. A great meal!

I had heard rumblings about their Thursday night chef’s choice special which gives you a choice between two entrees, two out of four sides and a dinner roll for $8. Had the chicken pot pie and was VERY impressed. Mashed potatoes and gravy were on point. Corn casserole was very good. I would have happily paid double for that meal.
Staff is very friendly and engaging.
Atmosphere is nice enough. Keep in mind, it’s a bar that happens to sell really good food. Set your expectations accordingly.

A nice quiet sports bar with several TVs. Service is prompt, food is cheap. However, it also tastes a little bland. For six bucks a burger though, it’s perfectly acceptable.
Soft Drinks are separate, and that is where they’ll make their money on you.
To summarize, not a place I would go out of my way to go, but if I was looking for a cheap meal in Villa Grove, and didn’t feel like Mexican food, I would not be against eating here.

We read about this place online when searching for a place to eat prime rib. Boy did it not disappoint. A great piece of prime rib cooked to perfection. And this family owned business gives very generous portions and are super nice and sweet. We definitely will be back.

Where to start, better be a trump fan going in. Worst food, I got a spicy chicken it was a round piece of something no batter and tasted nucked. We also had fries that was cooked in low temp oil. That add had a steak on the ad, thanks for misleading us on that one too.

Just had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Me and the wife both had the jalapeno popper burger and I had the cheesy hash browns. We were both very pleased and plenty full afterward. We will definitely be getting them again.

Took the wife and kids to JRs last night for the steak dinner, We had a very pleasant evening, even though this is a bar it’s a very quite nice atmosphere bar .We all ate good and the food was excellent. Highly recommend this place we will be coming back we enjoyed the food and employees were fantastic.

It’s nothing fancy, but the drinks are cheap and I’ve always been happy with the food. Had a burger topped with pulled pork, and they didn’t ask how I wanted it but it came out somehow fully cooked and still as tender and juicy as any medium-rare burger I’ve ever had. I suspect witchcraft.

Ordered a rideye, medium. I thought the steak knife was dull. Had to cut so hard plate was moving. I’m still pull gristle out my teeth. $55 for two of us. Never again.
