I had an incredible experience at Gourmet Garden Indian Food! The owner was absolutely kind and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in. The meal was cooked to perfection—full of rich flavors, aromatic spices, and the kind of authenticity you can taste in every bite. On top of that, the customer service was truly amazing. You can tell they put genuine care into both their food and their guests.
Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine and a warm, memorable dining experience!

We recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a mixed experience.

The person at the front counter came across as a bit rude through his gestures and tone. I also noticed he was offering samples to other customers but didn’t approach us at all. I’m not sure why, but it definitely made us feel unwelcome.

We were told our order would take 20–25 minutes, but it ended up taking 56 minutes, which was frustrating.

Food:

Talapakattu Mutton – Very dry and seemed like it had just been microwaved.

Pepper Chicken – This was actually quite good and ended up being the best part of our meal.

Naan – This didn’t feel like freshly made naan; it seemed like a ready-made version. We also weren’t informed about the availability of garlic naan, even though we saw it on other customers plates.

On a positive note, the lady who checked on us during the meal was polite and genuinely seemed interested in our feedback.

To the owner or manager: I hope you take this review constructively. I noticed several other reviews mentioning the same concerns about customer service. It felt like customers from certain backgrounds received more attention than others, which was disappointing. We are paying the same prices as everyone else, and we expect the same level of service.

Additionally, for items priced at $15–$20 each, serving everything on paper plates really takes away from the dining experience. Better presentation would make a big difference.

Overall, I truly hope the management considers improving customer service, communication, and presentation because the food has potential, but the overall experience did not match the price point.

The butter chicken & garlic naan is so rich in flavor! Service – super inviting & caring. And the atmosphere, in true St. Augustine style, is cooler than a cucumber. You’ll enjoy your authentic Indian food in a beautiful garden decorated with art & sometimes even live music!

The best part of this place is the owner he is very responsive and cooks the food to your palate gives a sample taster before finalizing the order recommended to try paneer butter masala with naan and the food spoke for itself, the quantity is pretty good, if you are looking for pure veg options don’t forget to try this place

We had such a pleasant experience at Gourmet Garden Indian Restaurant! We got the butter chicken with rice and the owner even let us taste it before bringing it out to make sure it was the right spice level for us. Very nice ambiance with a beautiful garden and very nice staff. Would definitely come back next time we’re in St. Augustine 🙂

This restaurant was so delicious! A definite switch up in the food options in Saint Augustine. The owners were so kind! They brought us a taste of our butter chicken to check the spice level & then brought another bite back out to confirm! The owners care deeply about how they prepare their food and their passion for cooking is extremely evident! The saag, dhal tadka, butter chicken, samosas and naan were so good! 10/10 stars would recommend & will be back!

I waited in the queue for over an hour, but it was absolutely worth it. They were kind enough to serve us even after closing time, which I truly appreciate. The owner is incredibly kind, humble, and warm-hearted. The food is simple, clean, and healthy, and the overall vibe is wonderful. We had a great conversation about gourmet food and life. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you so much!

Authentic food because it’s made with love and care. The couple was so kind to us and even offered something for our dog! We were met with warm smiles, open hearts, and gentleness. I’ve included the best photo I have of the food because we couldn’t wait to taste it!! Great chai, delicious Britain, samosas, and REAL Chai. Loved it and can’t wait to visit more and more!
