It was my first time trying Uncle Jiang and when I walked in, the restaurant didn’t have a lot of seating area to eat, but I was taking it to go so it didn’t matter. But for others who might visit, it could mean taking it to go. Believe me, it’s worth every penny. I ordered the General Tso’s chicken from the lunch special menu and it came with rice for $8. My food was hot and made fresh and the service was quick. The counter lady was polite (a little robotic, but she was nice). I was a little let down because I was expecting my food to be spicy, but it was not. Other than that, it was delicious. The chicken had plenty of sauce, but not overly sauced and the rice was heavenly. It’s pork fried rice and it had a smokey kind of grilled flavor……sensational! I’m from Texas, but whenever I visit Pensacola again I will definitely be back. Customer for life.

Saturday 01/23 around roughly 1:30pm my partner ordered chicken and shrimp lo mein and general chicken takeout. A few hours later I got violently ill with vomiting and diarrhea for 2 days. Food poisoning for the first time in my life. This was my first time eating here and my last. The food tasted mediocre at best which was a surprise considering how well praised it has been for as long as I can remember. I will definitely remember being so sick and feel it’s my duty to advise others proceed with extreme caution.

This food is so good my panties hit the floor sounding like a wet octopus on a boat deck. Don’t let the interior scare you away. This food is authentic and I was scared to try it but I’m glad I finally did.
Get the orange chicken it’s so good. It’s still crispy while being saucy and the chunks of chicken aren’t too big. $25 for 2 people (other person got general Tso’s)

Do not eat from there. They are scamming with their food. If you get sweet-and-sour chicken, you’re barely going to get any chicken. I got 2 meals yesterday. And both were 90% batter with no chicken in it. I do not recommend this place and I will not eat there ever again. They went up on their prices and left out the real food. What a disgrace used to be a good place to eat Chinese food. Not anymore, go to China delight. They have awesome. Chinese food and prices are great and you will. Have a full belly with leftovers.

Dumplings are way beyond stale and the only flavor you get (other than the old dough) is peanuts with less than a pinch of meat inside… no way they are less than 3/4 days old.

Their signature chow mei fun has one flavor all the way through and it’s very very fishy.

Please save your money! This was the greasiest, least flavorful, least fresh Chinese food I have ever had. I finally tried uncle jiang and this will absolutely be the last time. Everything just tastes like grease. The dumplings are mostly breading and must be extremely old because the meat was super tough inside. We ordered so many different things to try, but it was all just nasty. Go elsewhere.

This is some of the best Chinese food I have tried in pensacola so far. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is the cream cheese wontons are not my favorite. I love cream cheese wontons but these are just not my favorite. But the sesame chicken dinner combo is some of the best ive ever had

The young cashier is loud and snappy. The lo mein tastes like it’s been cooked in old oil, or it’s leftovers. The steamed dumplings contained a dry, bland unidentifiable substance. The spring rolls barely had any contents. And the cheese Rangoon was edible, but mediocre. I have no idea how they achieved 4 out of 5 stars on yelp (which is the only reason we went there.) DEFINITELY NOT going back!

Ordered two lunch specials. Chicken with garlic sauce was flavorful and a little spicy (which most places are not) with a good assortment of veggies. Chicken was tender. My only complaint is that there wasn’t enough sauce.

Mapo tofu was very different than what I’ve had before. There was no meat just chopped up veggies- onions, mushrooms, mini corn, etc. which was weird, but OK. It also was completely lacking in sauce! That’s the whole point of having the dish served over rice! Very disappointing and would not recommend.

Overall, I found the ratio of entrée to rice to be a little heavy on the rice side.

Uncle jiangs used to be so good y’all… what is this? 8 tiny shrimp in the shrimp w/ bean sprouts. More like bean sprouts with a garnish of shrimp. This is so embarrassing
