At the Navy Yard for a meeting. We decided to grab a quick bite before heading back to the office. The Gatehouse is right at the entrance/exit of the Navy Yard. We got there around 11:30 and had no problem finding parking. We were seated right away in the patio area. Our server came right over and got us started on drinks. After a few minutes he took our order and within just a few minutes the appetizer came out. If you like Brussel sprouts, you’ll like theirs! The entrees came out about 10 minutes after that. I had the chicken and waffles , delicious. The pace of the food was very good and the food itself was really good and the price very reasonable. Nice vibe hanging out by the Navy vessels.

Located in a great spot, we went for dinner on a Thursday night and it was not busy at all. Nice outdoor seating area too. The food was surprisingly good and the service was great. Definitely recommend the cookie skillet and mini cannolis desserts.

Small and cozy and the food is GREAT and it came out quickly! We had a huge party and they were very accommodating! The servers were very nice and helpful it was easy to navigate! Definitely will come again!

Quick service for lunch. I had gogunja wings that were delicious. Really cool vintage old building that is nicely restored. Upstairs has a a lot of seating. Downstairs has a nice bar area. Really cool outdoor space with TVs outside. Next to the navy yard.

Wings were crispy and packed with flavor. The brussel sprouts were a great way to start the meal. I tried all the wing sauces and traditional and lemon pepper were my favorites.

I highly suggest their fried chicken wings, which served with blue cheese dip! In addition to that, I recommend any of their finger food meus because of the price (only during the happy hour).
Their pizza dish was okay, not too outstanding. Their pizzas were too bready & thick to me since I personally prefer thin crust pizza.
I probably will only come here during the happy hour or just for their fried chicken wings (take-out) when I’m nearby navy yard.

Wonderful experience, my husband and I finally got a night out and tried the Gatehouse. AWESOME ambiance, the menu was great with lots of choices and the service was spot on! We will be back.

My wife and I enjoyed a date night here and thought the food was very delicious and that the atmosphere was comfortable and casual. They had my favorite beer which has tended to be a good indicator of whether a place I’ve never been to is likely to serve Italian that my wife or I will enjoy. It proved accurate this time as well ;).
Although when I saw the mozzarella chunks on my chicken parm, I thought that the meal might be going downhill, but I actually now prefer it that way after having tried the way Bar Amis prepares it- delicious! My wife enjoyed her meal also.
Its not too pricey, and my only critique is that the portions walk a fine line between enough and not enough.
We will be back for sure- thanks for the good meal.

I had the salmon. It was actually very delicious and well presented. I do think the service was a little slow for it to be mid day and half empty in the bar. I also tried the chicken wings, however, I did not enjoy those. They just seemed large. Overall it was a good dining experience. I enjoyed my window view.

Super cool atmosphere, good food, great location, and great service. Had a BLT and ceasar salad and was very happy. Our waiter was very kind and the whole place had a very cool atmosphere and was very clean. The only thing was something was accidentally added to our bill that we did not order, but I called back and they were very kind and fixed the problem. Could not ask for better service. Will be back and highly recommend!
