I had a bit of a challenging experience during my visit. I arrived for breakfast and waited around 10 minutes before being seated. Once I was sat, I noticed other guests roaming around waiting for a hostess as well. While I found the food to be somewhat overpriced for the portion sizes, it was decent. Since I was staying on the property, I thought I would give the restaurant another chance.

I ordered the mixed berry salad with grilled chicken and a side of fries, which came out to just over $21. The fries were okay, though not particularly the best.

Unfortunately, the chicken in the salad appeared to be still frozen. I was informed that this is how the chicken is typically served, but it had a rubbery texture and lacked flavor, so I opted to set it aside. Additionally, I found a whole head of lettuce (that seemed less than fresh) in my salad, which was disappointing.

Overall, my experience at Water’s Edge left much to be desired, and I would hesitate to recommend it for breakfast or lunch. I don’t think I have it in me to try again for dinner.

We had a group of 30 there for dinner… 20 of us give the food a single star. They have a $45 NY Strip steak that was terrible, overcooked and probably a Select cut. The fried food was cooked in oil that probably hasn’t been changed in a month, the onion rings were not edible, the salmon was overcooked as well. The Rueben sandwich looked OK…. But again served with fries cooked in old dirty oil. The French Onion soup was good, but not great. On the positive side the service was great. If you go, stick to food that is easy to prepare, like sandwiches, so not to push the limited ability of the chef.

We went there at night and enjoyed the dart games, food, pool, and the T.V.s. I thought the ethics were well thought and I loved the decorations. They were very kind to us and my boys. Also, they were quick and the food was cooked fresh. Food was very tasty and we left stuffed. With the beach and the lake this is a must to stop when passing through. Food was amazing here and will be a stop we make every time.

It took a while for the host to pay attention to us and seat us, but our waitress was super nice! The hummus plate was decent and I liked my salad. Pretty standard food

We were turned away for having too big of a party. Two sections of the restaurant were empty, they wouldn’t let us come in under smaller groups. Sheer laziness and incompetency. Do better, we paid to stay here.

FYI, party size was 18 and we came in 2.5 hours before close. No good reason in turning us away

Waitress was slow. Food was disgusting. My steak was cold and tasted weird. The fries were soggy and the mac and cheese is Kraft. Expensive $140 for complete garbage

Wonderful Breakfast Experience at Water’s Edge!

We had such a great experience at Water’s Edge Restaurant during their breakfast buffet. The food was fresh, well-stocked, and had a nice variety that kept everyone in our group happy—including our picky little eater!

From the moment we walked in, the hostess was extremely nice and helpful, making us feel right at home. Partway through our meal, my 5-year-old accidentally spilled a full glass of water all over her chair. I was so impressed by how quickly the staff responded—multiple employees came over right away to help clean it up and made sure we were all taken care of without making us feel uncomfortable.

That kind of attentiveness and kindness really stood out. It’s not just about great food—it’s about how people make you feel, and the team at Water’s Edge truly went above and beyond. We’ll definitely be back!

The hostess definitely had an attitude the day we were there. I didn’t see her smile the entire time. The food was nothing to brag about but it was good. The cauliflower appetizer was delicious. The prices were about average.

First, the restaurant does not stand alone but inside another on the park property. It’s listed as The Dining Room, not by the name of the establishment. The appetizer came with no extra plates to share amongst the table and the sandwiches came out shortly after the appetizer arrived. The food was overpriced. The prime rib sandwich seemed to be reheated several times and dry. The salmon club was pretty good but I felt more bread than salmon. The iced tea was the weakest I have EVER seen. I couldn’t drink it. At $4 a glass, unacceptable. For the money spent, very disappointed.
