I have been going to Zupas for over a year and I have never had a bad experience! Even when the restaurant is busy the employees still have an amazing attitude and show they care about the quality of service! When the wait times are extended the employees seat us and give us a beverage! Everytime I’m in the restaurant Aiden always comes to the lobby to get guests dishes, and gets to go boxes if needed! There’s something for everyone to eat at Zupas, I will definitely be coming back!

Been coming to Zupas since 2016 but this location became my favorite since it opened! Absolutely love the team here! Super friendly and all smiles, i always recommend this location to friends and family. Everything on the menu is great, my favorites are the power bowl, mango berry, and the ultimate grilled cheese!

After one time of coming here instead of Prasada location which we have been going to as its closer for 3-4 months and theyve consistently messed some things up which we typically dont care, but forgetting chicken, somewhat poor customer service, and poor problem resolution, made this experience that much better, came thru at about 5:00pm and got 2 try 2 combos with extras which the other location will typically just not care about and a young gentleman took care of our order with great enthusiasm and just overall care. I have always loved Cafe Zupas and I absolutely love that this location has a drive thru. I went to this location for dine in and was blown away by the friendly nature of the employee who took care of us, Avryal. The food was delicious and I had no complaints over the time it took to receive our food, it was very normal waiting time. Good food, good employees, good vibes.

Tomato basil bisque — rich, velvety, with a bright fresh tomato taste and just the right amount of cream. Not overly sweet like some chains; this one actually tastes like someone roasted real tomatoes.
Highly recommend if you’re after honest, flavorful, made-with-care soup and sandwiches. This is the kind of place you return to on gray February days when you just want something warm and satisfying.
Staff is great and listens to the customer. 1 person really stands out I believe her name is Avryal. She is always smiling. Helpful with any questions we have.

Legit, the worst Cafe Zupas! It never fails that they mess up my order. It’s almost every time! Today I went, even ordered ahead and still had to wait 30 mins for my food and they still forgot the dressing. Super frustrating! Now I have to eat my bowl dry! Just lovely!

We stopped here to eat. We had salad and soups. They were very good. The staff is still new and coming up to speed. The leader was well trained and friendly. They have looks of choices on sandwiches, soups, and salads. The prices were right on. They have Coke a Cola products and juices, iced tea. And chocolate strawberries was amazing

I’m beyond disappointed with the service at Cafe Zupas – 16900 N 144th Ave, Surprise, AZ. My husband went to pick up our online order via the Good Lane drive-thru on January 26, 2026, around 7:10 PM. I had already sent him the receipt by text, including the order confirmation and email. Despite this, he was treated with suspicion and blatant disrespect by the staff.
The cashier—whose name was either El or L (according to her coworker)—claimed there was no order under his name and told him he was at the wrong location. He showed them the screenshot and email receipt, yet they continued to dismiss and gaslight him. It wasn’t until a different employee stepped in and looked closer that they handed him the food—which had been sitting on the counter the entire time. The order was ready at 6:41 PM, so he was on time.
Why lie? Why humiliate someone just trying to pick up their dinner?
Let’s call it what it is: discrimination. This isn’t the first time we’ve felt uncomfortable at this location, but tonight confirmed it—this place has a problem with how they treat Black customers.
We will never return. Shame on this team for creating such a hostile, unwelcoming environment. Do better.
