I went on Saturday night…this wasn’t the spot to be turnt and twerking. It wasn’t ole school RnB…more like “old skool Soul” Its a local bar with lots of locals. No Cover, Single occupancy Restroom and DJ seemed to be just someone in the booth playing random songs mostly swinging and stepping music with playing all way the out as if he had to flip the 45 and change it on a phonograph. Enough about the DJ. The atmosphere was very pleasing, 1 Bartender that was busy all night but quick and on it. I ordered non alcoholic 2 drinks $9 total. From the kitchen window I ordered catfish and fried mushrooms $15 The fish was seasoned well but mushrooms were rubbery.
Over all a nice spot to meetup and socialize. BUT….for me, it wasn’t a party place…just a gathering place with music and drinks.

Is a nice place where you can have you some drinks and not have to worry about fights dodging bullets. It’s a chill environment you can dance and have fun and have a good drink. It’s not many places you could get a good drink at but the Elbow Room is wondering. They also have good food there . They have two or three people in different stuff cooking in the kitchen, so it’s a fun environment where you get a drink and Something to eat. Yes the Elbow Room is open and it opens up at 10:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday. Monday through Thursday they close at 10:00 and Friday and Saturday they close at 2:30 in the morning. Sunday hours are 12 to 8:00 p.m. Come on out to the Elbow Room it’s a place where mature people can coime have a drink 35 and up.

The bartender Trina I think was dope and cool as ever. She remembers everyone all of her regulars lol. I was new to the spot brought there by a friend and she was pretty cool. The zucchini sticks??? FIGH!!! I wished I lived closer just go grab some every weekend. Dope lil spot.

I came pretty early, around 10:00 and although I had to wait a minute for my drink, the bar tender was very nice. I must admit, walking in I was a bit anxious as I just moved here and I am not their typical patron, but I was greeted by friendly patrons and left after my beer feeling much better then when I had arrived, and not just because of the alcohol coursing through my veins. You see, I went for my father’s birthday and given his initials were MRB, it was a great sight to see Mr. B written on the blue awning out front. He passed 3 years ago now, and the company and chill vibe of this bar were everything I needed tonight. Thank you.

I’ve been stoping in this place for over 10 yrs and the DJ is always on point. But It would be a much better place, if the bartender doesn’t always have a NASTY attitude. I only still choice this place from time to time is when I don’t want to drive far and I’m just stepping out for a second and the music always good. Anywho, i would’ve giving them 5 stars but they need the old COOK back In the kitchen because whoever cooking now must have a attitude just as nasty as the bartender because the food is horrible. Overall, the owner is really nice and always dress to the T. Which means on point!

The Elbow Room is a Lounge located in Gary Indiana. It’s mainly a venue for stepping and consists of mostly an older crowd. On some nights smoking is allowed. I’ve seen this on a Thursday night but don’t recall this on Friday or Saturday evenings. Ventilation system is decent so after smoking stops there is no residual odor. drinks are a generous pour so it will not take you a lot of money or a lot of time to get to where you’re going . Food is also served at an additional fee. Pricing for food is relatively decent. Quality of food is decent as well. Although this would be considered a hole in the wall, you will find people from all walks of life who visit this establishment.
