If I could give it less than a one star, I would! I did an online order and said pick up was at 4:30, I came at 4:10 and they are completely closed. Not an employee insight. It would have been nice to get a call or text so I didn’t have to waste my time and money! What a Joke!

Donut Star in SJ!?!? I’ve been frequenting the Draper location, but having one even closer is the best worst news I’ve received this year.
These donuts are INCREDIBLE!!!
My go-to donuts are the Maple bar and Raspberry Fritter and Donut Stars are some of the best I’ve ever had. EVER.
My wife loved the light and fluffy donut holes, and my boys love the Giant Texas Pink donut and all the fun fancy filled donuts.
I always love supporting local owner/operators, and Dave is one of the best.

UPDATE 6/25:
Saw the reply from the owners and stopped by when I had some time during my project. Explained the issue, and Becky took care of us. AMAZING, completely overwrote this bad experience. She had long time bakery experience so we had a nice chat as well.
I hope this place continues to thrive and grow, and get more people like Becky!

Ordered delivery from here because these are some of the best tasting donuts I’ve tried.
However, they completely messed up this order so badly I had to leave a review. Some QA is in order here….
FIRST THINGS FIRST, Donut Star NEEDS to seal these better. It was completely open when it arrived, the seal had fallen open or maybe the driver took our donut lol.
They only put on seal on front, the highest stress spot, but not on the sides to support.
ADDITIONALLY, one of the donuts in the middle was squished. Sad.
As for the order accuracy, well:
I ordered:
2x Chocolate Sprinkle
1x Maple Bar
1x Glazed Old Fashioned
1x Glazed Cronut
1x Chocolate Cronut
Mind you, Cronuts are double price of regular donuts! Speciality donuts of course.
What do I get?
1x chocolate sprinkle
1x Chocolate, NOT CRONUT
1x Maple Bar
1x Glazed Old fashioned
and some donut holes just… thrown in there.
They did notify of substitution of the Glazed cronut with the holes, but proceeded to not substitute the chocolate cronut or anything.
$6 cronut just vanished.
Not too bothered about getting a non-sprinkle chocolate donut, but that’s worth mentioning too.
Anyway, some of the best donuts I’ve tasted but the QA is lacking on the service side.

We went for donuts on a Sunday morning and Manny was really helpful. Recommended a cronut and an oreo donut that was delicious. One of the reasons I wanted to go are the crullers but they are so bad – they don’t melt in your mouth and instead just are gummy. Definitely won’t be getting those again. The donuts are also a little on the pricy side but a fun place to try out.

I went there Sunday morning for a dozen donuts and Manny was really great. He suggested some pretty yummy donuts and let me know which ones were priced differently. Very lovely experience and my co-workers really loved the donuts! Genuinely the best donuts I’ve had since getting here to Utah. I’ll definitely be coming back and my co-workers will be stopping by as well. Thank you so much!!

We love Donut Star! I love that you can order online and come pick up because inside can get a little hectic. The blueberry donut holes and maple bars are two of our favorites! There is always a great selection to choose from and are always fresh. They even have giant ones! We used it for my son’s second birthday “cake”.

We ordered for delivery. The order was correct but the donuts were old and crusty. The front holes were barely edible. I wanted to leave a 1 star but the wife and kids said there’s were ok. The cake donut was so hard on the outside. There are a lot of donut places and being a type 2 diabetic that wanted a test for doing good this was very disappointing. The front holes are just thrown in the box also.

The moment you walk in, you are wrapped up in delicious aromas. The gal that helped us was very friendly and helpful. The donuts we bought were fresh and delicious. It was a little bit pricey, but very yummy. They had a great assortment of donuts to choose from.
